With this Carrol case..... he is dragging it out in court because HE CAN. He is hoping that one judicial level will see it his way. Then like CDL talked about is that many "wealthy" people will draw things out in court to increase the fees that the other party will incur. Which will deplete the amount they actually receive from the defendant. Yeah it is a stupid game they play..... but it is what they can do. Let the court fees, lawyer fees, etc all keep adding up. So when the judgement gets paid that the party receiving it gets less. Why do you think many times the judgements have "defendant will pay all of the court fees of the prosecution".... BUT YEAH....
