Obama gave them our taxpayer $$$, never re-negotiated Union wages/benefits ---which WOULD have happened under a managed bankruptcy, thus providing more reason to keep production in US.

The only difference, is the US government played the role of private equity.  Who ever thought the bailout was for the workers? We all know Obama is not a Socialist.

I haven't heard that Dodge now, Ram Truck is going any where.

I would ask how a private equity buy out,  would create jobs for workers, while serving the intrests of their investors.

Don't tell me Romney, is a Socialist this week.

In theory shouldn't the government reek the benefits of the buy out. That should benefit the taxpayer (I doubt that it will) Personally I wasn't going to get a pay out from either investor.

Couldn't you have bought Chrysler?

Did I say there was no differnce? I might have, I'm going to go back and look.

The only difference, is the US government played the role of private equity.

Correction: There was only a slight differnce for me a non investor, who only pays a small percentage of personal FICA tax from hourly wages.

In therory that little bit I pitched in, might work it's way back to me in lower taxes. I don't expect that to happen under any administration.

I think Chrysler want's to sell C300's in China. They don't want to spend the cost of shipping them across the ocean. Buick needs competition.
