We now segue from "Christian nutcases" to "Islamic nutcases".( In the demands of fairness, I'll try to dredge up posts on "Jewish nutcases"---anyone else is free to do this, with the exception of Quad-----LOL ! ) This is the same government covertly developing nukes that
Marikod seems to be intent on being an apologist for-----tsk, tsk-----

and the islamic nutjobs are even more whacked out than the Christian variety. As for moving on to the Jews and other religious  "kooks", fine if you want to, but no one else besides the Christians and the Muslims seem to have any desire to make my life miserable, so I invoke the "live and let live" philosophy where it comes to other religions.

Now don't get me wrong, I still think they are all a bit nutty. Some nuttier than others, and downright harmful. Take the Hindus for example, in a country where million have starved to death, they won't allow killing cow's because of their insane beliefs, but they leave me alone, so I don't go out of my way too often to criticize them, but come on folks. Here is yet another example of how religion has killed countless people because of belief in  fairy tale.

Who knows? This latest crackdown might have the opposite effect?

What if a bunch of daughters make their mothers miserable because they have to play with "fat ugly" dolls, who in turn make their husbands miserable, who in turn finally overthrow the mullahs that are making their lives miserable? Stranger things have happened, and you never know what the final catalyst for revolt is going to be. Maybe Barbie dolls are the final straw that breaks the camel jockey's back? lol

L.A. has the biggest Iranian population (aka Persian ) outside of Iran. In fact, L.A. is often referred to as Teherangeles". They fled the country after '79 Islamic Iranian revolution.

I've found them to be very nice folks, by & large. Mostly concentrated in Westwood area ( largely from Santa Monica & Westwood blvds to Wilshire & Westwood blvds )

Now, I can hardly say this is scientific polling, but, to a person, they said their relatives in Iran hated the theocracy & preferred living under the Shah, despite his "dictatorial excesses.". Of course in Iran  today this can't be openly stated.

So, this has to be taken with a grain of salt, but, no denying that under the Shah, Iran's economy was more vibrant, compared to the sanction-laden, basket-case economy modern day Iran has evolved into.

Most people refer to the area you mention as "Little Persia" and I have been there many times, usually when doing business with Iranians.

I too have several Iranian friends and business associates and to a man they hate the Mullahs and what has happened to their country a thousand times more than we ever could. After all it was THEIR country that was forcibly taken from them, forcing them to flee here. I'd be pissed too.

I don't think we have negative population growth. We're not growing like we were during the Baby Boom, but it's not negative. We aren't bringing in illegals to replace workers who don't exist, but rather to keep down wages by increasing the supply of labor.

For the record, I believe that two parents in the home is a good thing, and ideally, only one should have to work.

"2% or 12%, is immaterial; you are lower than a muslim faggot in the eyes of many Americans. (Especially in the Heartland, in places like Iowa where unemployment is only 6%, and things are better than the rest of the nation.)

Not my assessment mind you, I'm just bringing you the info as reported. That's how atheists are viewed."

I don't need to "label you in the worst light". You've already done that to yourself. As for the Nazi pics, you've brought that on yourself. A tolerant Christian you aren't. Perhaps OSP or others can give you lessons in that regard.

Btw, it's spelled "inferring"

Lastly, TER takes a dim view of someone making veiled threats .

Troll---------:)

I wonder if we were to compare some objective measures of the health of a culture between the US and Iran, if maybe they are onto something.

At this point in the U.S., for example, 50% of babies are born without fathers in the home.

Now, maybe this is a GOOD thing. After all, we all know that men in the home lead to the development of authoritarian tendencies which is what caused the Holocaust, so the abolition of males from home life is a positive step forward. Maybe we should just cryovac some semen for just in case and kill all the men?

Though I have no objection to abortion and think abortion rights should be extended to men as well, (and it should be legal to post-birth abort politicians until they are 80) it is worth noting that since Roe v Wade we have managed to abort a number of potential persons equal to a sixth of our population. Our population growth is negative, so we are having to import Mexicans as replacement population for the potential offspring we are aborting.

Say what you want but in the world of biology, whoever dies with the most genes wins -- and OUR culture seems pretty damned dangerous in that regard. It is a society of people boycotting marriage and children and birth-controlling and aborting itself into self-genocide.

Gee, I wonder why anyone would want to keep it out of their country.

Think is, the barbie doll isn't the problem. He's barking up the wrong tree.

...sore thumbs.  They have Spanish tile roofs like they're trying to blend in but they also have Greek columns framing the front door.  They might as well put up a neon sign saying: "Iranians live here!"

Life was better at home with Savak keeping order for them.

Victims

Sources disagree over how many victims SAVAK had and how inhumane its techniques were. Writing at the time of the Shah's overthrow, TIME magazine described SAVAK as having "long been Iran's most hated and feared institution" which had "tortured and murdered thousands of the Shah's opponents."[25] The Federation of American Scientists also found it guilty of "the torture and execution of thousands of political prisoners" and symbolizing "the Shah's rule from 1963-79." The FAS list of SAVAK torture methods included "electric shock, whipping, beating, inserting broken glass and pouring boiling water into the rectum, tying weights to the testicles, and the extraction of teeth and nails." [26] According to a former CIA analyst on Iran,[27][28] Jesse J. Leaf, SAVAK was trained in torture techniques by the CIA.

But in Iran right now there are hundreds of thousands of young people born long after he died who desperately want freedom from the Ayatollahs.
As for Jewish extremist nut-jobs, there are plenty.  See the attached article.  Even crazier are the Hassids who don't accept Israel's right to exist because that can only happen after "the second coming." Personally, I usually only manage one pop.  LOL!

I'm tempted to reciprocate in kind but my sense of decency won't let me go there.

Atheists seem unfettered by such constraints, why is that?

You with your smearing, willy with his lying?

the last time you tried to misquote and mangle a snippet of something someone said.

You're walking down that road again.

BTW, you seem to like posting pictures, infering people are Nazis.

I don't know anyone who likes being called a Nazi and in real life you could get your face smashed in for doing that, and rightfully so. You are obviously obsessed with labeling people in the worst light possible then following them around with your nonsense.

A troll by any other name is still a troll.

BTW this shit is getting really fucking tired, didn't you say you were taking a hiatus from this bullshit, and that you were ending your ridiculous feud with mr you know who?

Do us all a favor and quit barking up this same tired tree. Have you looked at the board lately? Hardly a "real" conversation going on the first page, just a bunch of name calling, alias stalking, and inane bullshit. I have a feeling that someone is going to have to step in and call a fucking timeout to this bullshit. or would you all prefer that a "real" moderator took over?
