could blow your socks off like Klemmer, Thelonoius Monk, Parker, Davis, Coltrane, Tommy Dorsey, Eldridge, Gillespie and those great voices of Holliday, sarah Vaughn, and nina simone et al?

I know there is still Gato Barberi but there old school. Has great jazz gone the way of the phonograph?

... old school jazz clubs are fewer and fewer in between.

The melding of music and computer synthesis changed the way the world listens. Everything is becoming more structured and focused, with less and less room for creative improvisation in music.

But if you're in LA on December 6, come to my annual birthday jam session and hear some old school blues and jazz performed by old school blues and jazz musicians:)

Gato Barbieri.... saw him play in the early 70's. He was Old School back then!

You didn't know that the whole invasion of France thing was over a French girl who turned him down at a Jazz club.

Hitler hates Jazz.
