But lets not jump to conclusions. Let's wait for Kash Patel or JD Vance to chime in.

And Trump gave his “Thoughts And Prayers” so you know he’s MAGat.
If he wasn’t …,oh boy ..the right would be saying he was trans or some radical left nonsense
But if he’s MAGat, why was he targeting Mormons? I wonder what the governor of Utah thinks . Probably thinking to himself , “ Fuck their ass”

...they're not "Christian enough."

From AI Overview:
Traditional Christians believe...that God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are three persons in one divine being. (Mormons), however, believe that the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are three separate, distinct divine beings...

Many orthodox Christians find (Mormon) doctrines about God and humans blasphemous. Traditional belief holds that God is an eternal spirit, whereas LDS theology teaches that God the Father was once a mortal human who progressed to godhood. This is related to the controversial Latter-day Saint belief that humans can also become gods.

Mainstream Christians hold the Bible to be the sole, authoritative word of God. The LDS Church has an open canon of scripture, including the Book of Mormon and other texts revealed through its prophets, which orthodox Christians reject. Many Christians view the idea of adding to the biblical canon as heretical.

So, a nut with a gun. As American as cherry pie. And there's nothing anyone can do about it. America has enough guns for every man, woman, child and baby. Getting rid of them simply isn't an option and I'm not in favor of even trying. So this will go on. And don't tell me I'm sound like Charlie Kirk. Because I am. The difference is because he worshiped the Second Amendment. I don't. I worship reality. Or at least I accept it.

This was a targeted attack on a CHURCH..... not political violence.

This was about a religion not politics.   What I have read so far is that he had issues with LDS religion.  So he targeted them.   It wasn't a left or right.... Democrat or Republican issue.   He was blaming the Church of Latter-day Saints for something.

So why does it honestly matter who the fuck he voted for.     AND YES i would say this if he was a liberal as well.    Because neither political party was going after churches.    So political rhetoric has nothing to do with it.

Unless they start to find things such as...... A magazine that says SUCK IT DEMS written on it, FOR CHARLIE written on them, TRUMP 2028, bullet casings with political slogans on them, etc.    Then it has nothing to do political.

It is different if these people are attacking abortion clinics.... that is political.

This was just a fucking nut bag.    Just like the nut bag who shot up the bar/water front in NC.... like he did a drive by on a boat.    This place wasn't anything political at all.   Not a gay bar, trans bar, etc.   Just a bar frequented by locals and tourists.

I disagree with what I see is your attempt to quantify non-political violence as something less than political violence. All violence is repugnant and motivated by hate.  While these abhorrent murders are individual acts, there's a culture of hate and easy access to weapons that exists in America that contributes to the violence that should not be ignored. Anyone from the POTUS on down who isn't trying to lower the temperature and detestable rhetoric is not being helpful and making matters worse. These men - and I include the shooters in Utah, Texas,  Michigan, and North Carolina - are individually responsible for their actions. Demonizing entire groups of Americans - be they MAGA or liberals - is wrong and only further divides us.

I am not trying to say violence isn't wrong.

But to say MAGA or LIBERALS are to blame is wrong.  The political affiliation has nothing to do with this matter.   Which the OP is trying to do.

So again.... please quantify how does being MAGA or how does Trump rhetoric make this attack the reasoning behind it?   Like the OP and many others are trying to insinuate.

Did Trump/Harris/Biden/Schummer/etc. say to attack Mormons?  Are Mormons the enemy of either Dem's or Republicans?   Where is the politics behind this?    There isn't any.    This guy blew a gasket and attacked a church for whatever reason that we may never know.    But for the OP and others to try and tie it to politics is bullshit.      UNLESS like I mention some political slogan or some manifesto comes out where the idiot shooter explains his political beliefs made him do it.   Then I will stand corrected.

You can say "well Trump isn't trying to turn down the climate"...... he keeps saying violence needs to stop.    Are you not listening.

My post represents my thoughts on this subject plus a response to what I thought was your position and not to the original poster. What I hear from the rhetoric coming from trump, vance, right-wing media, and MAGA regarding the shooting in Utah and Texas is devisive blaming the entire left for the individual actions of 2 murderous and disturbed young men. Trump et al may say "stop the violence" when perpetrated by a crazed trump supporter, but will blame the entire left when the shooter is not a crazed trump supporter or even a liberal.

Texas shooting:   An ICE Facility.   Which political party is demonizing ICE Agents, saying to protest ICE Facilities, Saying to DOX or ID ICE Agents, Want to Stop ICE Agents from doing their jobs, etc.   Which Political party called ICE Agents NAZI's, Gestapo (warren group), concentration camps, etc.    Plus the fact that a bullet had writing on it.   Political rhetoric that is going on right now.

Utah (Kirk):   What was written on the bullets?   Political Rhetoric.... by which party?  Which party says the other party is a FASCIST?   Which party is saying the President is a Fascist?   etc.   Again that is political rhetoric.

Yes both people are deranged, sick, mentally ill, etc.   But you see how politics could have played a roll or did play a roll in what they did.

Same goes for the MN School shooting.   What was written on magazines and bullets.

Now I know you will say.... What about the guy who attacked the Congresswoman in MN..... YES that sick fuck was politically motivated.   He had motives galore.... from abortion, targeting liberals, the stupid "NO KINGS" shit, etc.   Yeah he had the list of abortion targets, no kings crap in his vehicle and liberals on his list.   It was all political.   Afterwards Trump said we need to stop political hate and violence.  So did Walz.... but then a week later Walz is talking about kicking Trumps ass and how Trump is a Nazi and Fascist.

So again.... how is this guy in MI "POLITICAL".

Also show where Trump blamed liberal when it wasn't warranted?    If you say "Trans" most of those shootings that happened were political.  The shooting in Nashville of the school.... was political the manifesto left stated it.

We've been over this many times before. You appear to have a mental roadblock on this topic as you desperately jump to unfounded, partisan conclusions. We do not know the motives of the shooters in Utah and Texas. The writings on shell casings can have many meanings and is not conclusive evidence that either shooter is a left-wing liberal.  One shooter appears to have been motivated by the victim's anti-trans rhetoric and the other shooter by hate of the government. Neither shooter appears to be a left-wing liberal.  However, because those shootings were against a conservative activist and an ICE facility MAGA world quickly assumes not only were those shootings done by liberals, but all liberals are to blame. I don't have the time or the patience to explain this to you again and again.

You appear that you can't admit that one political party has called ICE Agents hateful things, demonized them, etc to the point where people are doxing them, fighting them, and possibly willing to commit violence against them.  All people of what politicians are saying on a daily basis.

ICE Facilities are getting TARGETED.    If abortion clinics were getting shot up.  I would say YES that is a targeted attack....especially if Trump or others were saying hateful things towards abortion clinics.  Calling them baby killing factories or comparing them to some of the worse things in history.    I would say.... YES I can see how the political rhetoric from that political party is pushing targeted attacks.

People writing fascist die and what not on and other things on bullet casings.... not political?   Which political party is calling the other political party FASCISTS?   Tell me.... really.... which party?  Can you admit it.... Are Republicans on the nightly news calling political leaders on the left Fascists?

Now please show me again.... where Trumps rhetoric is doing specific attacks.     I admitted the one in MN.... the idiot had a list of liberals.

But I guess you can't see that these two I have mentioned you can't admit the rhetoric on the left is possibly playing a role.   Or the School shooting in MN where on the magazines he wrote Trumps name.  I guess that wasn't "political" or could have been politically influenced by rhetoric spoken by media or political leaders.

We speak up against ICE when ICE officers act like thugs. Seems to me that it is ICE and other federal agents who are acting violently. We are only calling trump and MAGA fascist because they meet the textbook definition of fascist. Perhaps you should look that up. While you are looking that up you might also look up the times when trump called democrats fascists. The foul and divisive rhetoric coming from trump, vance, right-wing media, and MAGA world is anti-American, anti-democratic, and intended to keep the MAGA base angry and full of hate. Peace cannot come from that sort of language only more violence. I don't care to continue this discussion any further since you lack any ability to comprehend what is happening right in front of us.

In other words, how about if they stopped behaving like storm troopers?

That's exactly right. Near me ICE agents are smashing car windows, arresting people who are trying to comply with immigration law at immigration offices and courtrooms, and manhandling citizens, legal residents, and the undocumented alike in a cruel and inhuman way. We not only have the right to speak up against this abuse of power, we have an obligation as citizens to do so. Some members of this board think that it is our speaking out that promotes violence, when in fact it is the government's own excessive show of force that can lead to violence against the government.  I do not advocate for and I despise violence, but I understand why it can happen.

I guess Congressman Goldman's fears are also unfounded. To a partisan hack.
From Yahoo via CNN:
"On Tuesday’s episode of The Jim Acosta Show, host Jim Acosta welcomed Rep. Goldman to discuss the events of the day. Goldman said Republicans are trying to protect Trump from revelations about his relationship with deceased sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein, and that Trump is softening the ground to stay in office:

REP. DAN GOLDMAN: (D-NY): You don’t think for a second that part of the reason the Republicans are not here today is so they could avoid swearing in Adelita Grijalva, who would be the 218th and final signature on the discharge petition that would force the release of all of the Epstein files documents, not just the ones that Trump is trying to pick and choose that don’t include his name or his buddy’s names.

It’s also, I think, really dangerous because it is trying to manufacture a crisis so that Donald Trump can continue to take more and more authoritarian actions and so that he can usurp more and power.

And ultimately, my view is that he is looking ahead to 2028, where he will say that, for cockamamie made-up reasons like he’s talking to these generals about.

That “Well, look, we’re being invaded from within from the enemy within and we’ve got to keep our border safe. And that’s what our focus has to be. We can’t possibly have an election under these circumstances.”.

JIM ACOSTA: You really think that could happen?

REP. DAN GOLDMAN: (D-NY): Yeah, I think that’s where a lot of this is heading towards.

Watch above via The Jim Acosta Show."
PS: He's not alone. This first occurred to me when he called out the Guard and the Marines in LA. I wondered if it was a dress rehearsal. When he started talking about sending the Guard to other cities, I became sure. Time will tell.

You said my concern was "wild and unfounded" as if no one had ever made such a statement. So when I proved an actual US Congressman had said THE SAME THING, you dismissed that because you say he's "the most partisan hack in Congress." First of all he's a Congressman not far from where I live so I DO know a lot about him. And he's no hack. He's a very bright lawyer and a fine legislator. The fact that ChicKie doesn't like his political stance notwithstanding. Here's Wiki's summary of his career:
"After graduating from law school, Goldman clerked for Charles Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and Robert D. Sack of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.[12] From 2007 to 2017, Goldman was an Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York under Preet Bharara.[3]
He prosecuted Russian organized crime, Genovese crime family mobsters, including Fotios Geas, who murdered Whitey Bulger while in prison, and a variety of white-collar crime and securities fraud.[3] In 2017, Goldman was the lead prosecutor of Billy Walters, a sports bettor who was convicted for insider trading.[3] After leaving the Southern District, Goldman became a legal analyst for NBC News and MSNBC[14] and a fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice in New York.

Goldman was hired as Senior Advisor and Director of Investigations for the House Intelligence Committee in February 2019 and later became the lead counsel for the first impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump.[3] He questioned witnesses on behalf of the majority during the House Intelligence Committee's public hearings. On December 9, 2019, he provided testimony at the public hearing of the House Judiciary Committee."
So I guess ChicKenShit thinks he's a hack because he helped make the case against Trump in his first impeachment.
Some hack.

Really...... how are they acting like "thugs" or "fascists"....  Show the "TEXTBOOK".....

You mean ICE doing their jobs.   Going around and actually picking up illegals.   Since Sanctuary Cities are breaking their duties and rules by not notifying or holding these illegals for ICE to come and process them.   There "tactics" are not illegal.

You bring up "covering faces"..... So should protesters uncover their faces?  Or are protesters now "fascists"?

You just can't admit that Democratic Politicians are fueling hate towards others.   Sen. Fetterman has admitted it.   He has even linked a pole by AXIOS showing how in the past years it is LEFT pushing violence more than the right.   He has also said that it is going under reported too.   He has opened his eyes to what is going on.   I never thought in a million years I would be agreeing with him.   But hell... good for him.   But then I have seen "progressives" now attack him for saying these things.    Interesting isn't it.

Who actually curbed free speech?  YouTube admitted it, Zuck admitted it, Twitter admitted it, etc.  They admitted to curbing free speech... which were run by people who donated to.... DEMOCRATS.    So who silenced their political opponent?   It was also admitted that they were pressured by..... the administration for suppressing COVID information that went against the "norm".... hmmmmm.   Sounds fascist to me.

Right now we are finding out who paid for fake dossier to go after a political opponent.....sound fascist to me.   Who pushed for the FBI to keep using that fake dossier to go after that political opponent.... yeah....  See the pattern.

Who used the media to go after their political opponent.... MSNBC, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS,.... all were left.... FOX was right leaning.    4 out of 5 networks left leaning or pushing left ideologies.... .yeah.... who controlled the media.

Which leaders threaten to take firearms away......not Trump.

Which leaders during COVID wanted people locked down and people to "snitch" if you were out and about.... not republican.

Lots of examples showing which political party is actually acting more "fascist" than the other.

Trump is more Nationalist..... love for country, US before other nations, etc.   But people think that is racist, fascist, etc.   Yep... flying the US flag is a symbol of "racist' in some people's eye.

There are plenty of candidates who will continue to implement Trump's policies.  You forget that a large portion of the voters who helped elect Trump do not like him, but they support his policies.  2028 will be about finishing the job at the border and getting crime off of American streets versus opening up the borders again under ANY democrat who is elected.  Who the Republican is doesn't matter, voters will go with whoever will continue Trump's policies.  Dems seem to forget that Obama ran largely on stemming illegal immigration and after winning, deported more illegals than any other President in history.  It's questionable whether Trump can top him due to the interference of Dems who don't care about public safety and reserving vital resources for use by Americans rather than giving them to illegals.

In addition, he's acting like an all-powerful dictator who rules by fiat and not a POTUS who answers to the people.  His favorability polling is deeply underwater and he is singlehandedly bringing the country into stagflation and autocracy. He is deeply corrupt, an embarrassment on the national and world stages, and grossly unfit to lead.

Trump wants to stay in office until he croaks and I'd say there are good odds he'll pull some extra-legal tricks to do it. As I said recently, I believe his deployments of troops in several cities (and the willingness of Red State Governors to provide more) are a dress rehearsal for him fomenting a national "emergency" and postponing elections. We'll see if he can get away with it.
As for the squeals of some here that Dems are blocking him from getting things done, cry me a river. The Republicans still managed to pass that steaming pile of shit they call the "Big Beautiful Bill" so what are they whining about?
