the fact is a lot of other cusstomers are inconvenienced while they have to wait for someone to figure out what is being said and there is a high probability mistakes can be made....

and one language. The flag is a great protector but the protection is only as good by how united we are. Unity is dependent by what we agree to defend and being able to communicate.

The only problem I had with his sign was the part that said "we only speak American"[sic]. That is racist. We speak English not American. The decline in grammatically correct English is one of my pet peeves. Last month I had a representative from a state government agency performing an inspection on my jobsite and I was not able to understand a word  she said. The enforcement inspector communicated in some incohernet jibberish. Sorry but I don't speak Hindi. I will be appealing her citations and that judge better speak English.

I do think he was trying to make a statement, despite his claim otherwise. His place doesn't seem to be a hot tourist spot, so I guess he can get away with it. I'm just glad the restaurateurs in Hong Kong and Japan have been much more forgiving of my minimal knowledge of their language, or I would have starved to death. I can say pig in Mandarin, but not pork, and cow but not beef.

Fortunately, many places there have nice pictures of their menu items. I guess they're invested in making certain I purchase something to eat. This guy, not so invested, but more so in making a statement.

No matter what country the business owner sets up shop, he or she should know the 23 basic languages spoken on the earth.  24 if you include sign language.  There also should be a separate stand from the umbrella stand at the door, just for the canes of the blind.  And lets stop the prejudice against people without shirts and shoes.  Its not their fault they don't have shirts and shoes!  Are they suppose to continue starving to death wearing only their pants and socks?  And what about their pensions and healthcare?  Shouldn't the business owner that profits off of the hunger of people be paying for the people's well being?

If a restaurant fails to do any of the above, the customer gets a free piece of pie of his choice.
