SOURCE?? Where is the DoJ Pardon Atty recommendation on Zhao? Link, please. (I don't think there was one.)
.
The career DoJ Pardon Atty who had worked as a Public Defender and in other Federal legal roles for more than 13 years was fired by Trump in March 2025 for recommending against pardoning Mel Gibson.

"Oyer said she was dismissed from her role at the department after failing to recommend actor Mel Gibson’s gun ownership rights be restored; he lost them after he was convicted of domestic violence. ..."
[In a longer interview that I can't find, Oyer explains the normal process in evaluating and recommending a pardon. She basically said that a domestic violence conviction is almost ALWAYS used to recommend AGAINST the pardon. She might have said that she did not know of any case where where domestic violence was overlooked and a pardon recommended ... Unless it's a Trump friend (Mel Gibson) or a Trump supporter.]
.
Oyer was replaced by a super-MAGA, 2020-election-denier Trump POLITICAL appointee Ed Martin

.
Even IF there IS a positive DoJ Parole Atty recommendation on Zhao, Martin surely recommended so with Trump's order or approval.

And now, Trump doesn't know who Zhao is? Zhao has been in HEADLINE news for a few years. Binance plead guilty to money-laundering related charges in 2023 and paid a $4.3 B fine.

Binance CEO pardon follows Trump family's growing ties to the cryptocurrency industry
Democrats and one Republican say the pardon is inappropriate given business links between Binance and Trump family crypto interests. [Oct 31, 2025]

"Five days after President Donald Trump pardoned the founder of Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange the company helped boost Trump’s fortunes by promoting his family’s own crypto product, a digital coin known as USD1. “Deposits for $USD1 are now open on @BinanceUS!” the firm’s U.S. subsidiary said in an Oct. 28 post on X, in reference to the Trump-affiliated World Liberty Financial cryptocurrency. ..." And it agreed to plug gaps in its financial protocols that prosecutors said had allowed criminals and terrorist groups like Hamas, Al Qaeda and the Islamic State to move illicit money on Binance's crypto platform. “Binance became the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange in part because of the crimes it committed – now it is paying one of the largest corporate penalties in U.S. history,” then-Attorney General Merrick Garland said. ..." "[Trump] and his family have made as much as $5 billion in paper gains from their various cryptocurrency holdings, including $864 million in reported actual cash profits in the first six months of this year alone. They’ve launched their own companies and coins. And they’ve developed ties to industry leaders here and overseas, obtaining investments and donations while granting access to Trump. On May 22, Trump dined with 220 investors who plowed a combined $148 million into his crypto venture, inviting a torrent of criticism about the ethical implications. By that month, World Liberty had already raised more than $500 million from selling a separate digital token. The top bidder for a seat at that dinner and a separate VIP meet-and-greet was Justin Sun, a Hong Kong crypto entrepreneur who pumped $75 million into World Liberty Financial soon after it launched. Sun, who reportedly had avoided setting foot on U.S. soil for fear of being arrested, had been facing civil fraud charges under the Biden administration. Re: The stupidest base of followers . . . . .
The left doesn't understand that many times the President doesn't know about the case or reasoning behind any of the DOJ recommendations from pardons. This was a DOJ recommendation.
You think every president knows about the case they pardon. They get the recommendation and sign off on it.
