Ok we lost a plane. Granted a very expensive plane but it's a war and these things happen. As much as I was against this war of choice, now that we are there, we need to finish the mission and get out as quickly as we can, but pointing to one foul up without context can come off as anti-U.S., and as much as I despise Trump, I am never going down that path.
It goes to show the failures. They knew that the drones were a problem with the Ukraine/Russian war. Its beyond belief that they would have those expensive assets as sitting ducks if they knew that could not protect from a drone swarm attack.
I sure someone told the folks in charge it was not a good idea to store a plane like that but the upper levels did not listen.
Not only did those get knocked out but a bunch of radars knocked out a few weeks ago.
There were numerous allied mess ups. It happens. People are imperfect. Sometimes the enemy has good intel and can be cunning. They have bullets and bombs too you know. Destroying a few of our assets and a few radar sites "weeks ago" is just what happens in war. Look at Russia and Ukraine. How many Russian generals have been KIA since the start? 10? 12? I have lost track. . Now how many Iranian ships, planes, TELs, storage depots, nuke sites, etc have we destroyed? The ratio is like 99-1. This war is complex and any boots on the ground could be disastrous, I will give you that, but to mention these relatively minor things on the grand scale and not mention any successes is fairly ridiculous imo.
