High health care costs are probably mostly to blame for lowered life expectancies. Healthcare is a bit after the fact though. Unhealthy lifestyle choices provide a profit center for capitalist healthcare providers. The major lifestyle choice that causes a shortened lifespan is living with the albatross of the capitalist class hanging from the necks of the middle and working classes.

and antibiotics pumped pumped into livestock, exceedingly heavy use of white sugar, high fructose corn syrup, genetically modified franken foods, massive amounts of preservatives, artificial colors and flavors...OK, you get the point. The wonder is that more people don't keel over dead much earlier.

The "logic" in this is ridiculous.

Lots of reasons for lower lifespan, none of which have to do with our healthcare system.

There are two huge factors that have absolutely zilch to do with the market place.

1. Our exponentially high murder rate, largely due to our draconian anti-drug laws, and associated gang violence.

2. Our obesity epidemic which shows no signs of slowing down in the near future. Type II diabetes, caused by a combination of obesity, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure, used to be referred to as "Adult Onset Diabetes". This phrase is no longer used because kids as young as 11 and 12 are developing Type II diabetes.

Now exaplain to me how a free market contributes to either problem Willy. Thanks.

...that our aliased friend linked blamed most US deaths to be based on tabacco consumption and obesity. I would note Sin, that both problems are caused by what the market produces.

A communist gov't would not stop the sale of tobacco, or the decision by the consumer to purchase sugary soft drinks and fried foods over a diet of fresh fruits n veggies washed down by water or juice.

Why do you think gov't is the solution for everything?? That makes no sense. You have a completely delusional fantasy of how a communist market system works. You seem to think it is the cure all for everything.
