I liked the "First Lady" question but only because it showed who could think quickly on their feet. It's not the sort of question that usually comes up in a presidential candidate's "Debate College" when preparing for a national debate.

and couldn't pick a winner. Didn't see any big moments and/or mistakes by anyone. I will say that years and years of government service by Newt showed. He is a polished speaker and can think fast on his feet.
It was really a stupid question but it was something like, "Which of the candidates' wifes would make the best First Lady". Like who cares. Why don't they ask who has the best fucking dog.
My impressions of the answers:
Ron Paul gave his standard dead pan reply with all of the poise and look of Bill Belicheck talking about a loss to the Giants on Monday night football. Santorum and Romney looked better with their answers, but standard answers, nothing special.
Gingrich said:
He had meet all the wives and thought each would make a wonderful "First Lady". He then said his wife would make a great first lady. Polished, poised, looked Presidential, really quick thinking on his feet.
Doesn't change his politic but just goes to show what a real pro can do. Now if Ron Paul or Romney was as accomplished in presentation and style there would be no contest.
As for Santorum, he got the last question of the night on some question and gave some rambling answer no one would ever remember.
