And I will take your "passable presentation" comment as you are complimenting him bc he did do a great job last night. There is no way he will be able to duck the daily ribbings from Trump, Junior and even the "liberal" media, for none of them will give him a pass for dodging debates.
If his team doesn't think he could hold up on a debate stage then he doesn't deserve to be president. If thats the case, he needs to step down but I think many Dems had a huge sigh of relief with his performance last night. It was stellar.
The Dems will go all-in on him now--any talk about having him step aside has probably been quashed. And I have serious doubts about whether "Sleepy Joe" can handle the rigors of what will be a VERY intense presidential campaign! Let's see how he performs over weeks and months--not just one night!!
Great point. Biden will receive more criticism for future gaffes, but the rabid diehards will shout, “but the SOTU speech”. I think Trump will fare better against Biden than another Democrat, so this is a good development for Republicans in the long run.

Debate is generally considered an integral part of a functioning democracy. Biden’s preference to 1) not debate Trump and 2) bar Kennedy Jr from the debates if they even happen shows a lack of respect for the processes of democracy.
And those are the people who decide elections so that is why you should care as well.
RFK and Biden doesn't, Joe is history and will probably come in third in November. The voters will think everything the Republicans are saying about Biden is true.

After Biden's dismal four years, the only thing Biden can say is that Trump is a threat to democracy, to which Trump will respond that the all of the former FBI and CIA bosses are on record as saying the biggest threat to democracy is Biden's open border and if he gets four years, another 12,000,000 illegals will come in, starting as soon as the election is over, just like in 2020.
I don't think Trump should debate RFKjr one on one. RFKjr is an encyclopedia of knowledge. It's also why Biden would never debate RFKjr, even if he was still mentally all there.
You know the Biden camp has most likely decided he won't debate anyone. Ever. He simply can't. He just doesn't have the mental capacity.
