About a week ago I was sitting in a sports bar when the local news was on and a big fat rosacea faced slob bellowed to his buddies 'I bet half the people on the city counsel are jews.'  Then he started whining about something else.

I adore Jewish woman,  and mature Jewish woman rock!  Then of course I am not an anti-Semite.  It's been 28 years since I was last in Israel, and with the Clubs in Tel Aviv and Haifa and the friendly Israeli women (as well as all Israelis), I think the providers were having a difficult time making ends meet.

BTW, (Back on Topic) since I know that Funtime69 might read this, Israel is not a religious state!  One person, one vote, (even Arab Muslims and Christians get their vote) and the constant change of power proves that fact!  David Ben-Gurion the father of modern Israel was a socialist and an atheist.

It is also worth mentioning that there is a large Muslim community in Israel coexisting peacefully with both religious and non-religious Jews.

STilltryin25, whats with the obsession? Your in such a frenzy to get everyone to bash me. Could it be that is the best way to combat the truth, shout me down and encourage/drag others to do so also?

I have been rethinking my position on jews. Perhaps in the future, should I replace the word "jew" with "Zionist"? Jews against Zionism and other sites by Jews against Zionist actions seem to differentiate between the Zionist regime in Israel and America and regular Torah abiding Jews.

I think that you are a very intelligent person, that fact is obvious to me from reading some of your writing.  You mentioned zionists and pointed out that some Jewish people have a beef with zionists.  I can accept that premise since I have witnessed some of that myself.  But what I cannot accept are your broad based attacks on groups (government employees for example, with you implying that a disproportionate number are Jewish and are unduly influencing our national policies).  
    I will ask you, name ten jewish people who you admire.  They do not have to be famous, they can be neighbors, old professors, co-workers, someone who you met briefly, or politicians.  Please explain the reason why you admire each of them.  Maybe I have mis-cast you, although I doubt it, and your answer will show me up to be an assumptive asshole.
    As I said earlier, you appear to be very intelligent, but so was Hitler, so is Bin Laden and many of his cohorts, so was Stalin and as I read more statements by him from his trial hearing, so is Saddam Hussein.  I don't know whether you get my drift, but it is that very intelligent people can sometimes do great harm to humanity - you seem, to me, to be cut from that mode.
    The conservatives who I challenged probaly felt that I was attacking them, I was not, I was drawing them out so that I could get a better sense of whether they were "true" conservatives (ones who adhere to principles of limited govenment, fiscal discipline, and personal responsibility, to name some) or closet anti-semites who dislike people simply because of who they are.  All of them passed that test, some more powerfully than others.  Many, if not most, of my friends are principled conservatives.  I have as much fun with them as I have with friends who are principled liberals.
    I have read some of your other posts on issues like illegal immigration.  And while I agree with some of the basis upon which your views are anchored, I disagree sharply with the extent to which you take those views.
    You know, maybe I am a weirdo, I seek to first understand what I view as evil before going to battle against it - if I have to.  I would be neat if I could talk to Saddam Hussein to find out why he chose to bankrupt, and brutalize his people instead of taking the opposite path of using his country's great oil wealth to make Iraqis the envy of the world.  It would be interesting to talk to Bin Laden to see why he would turn sometimes legitimate displeasure at how muslims are sometimes treated into a tool for murdering innocent people who have not done him or muslims one second of harm and would not think of harming either.  I find the views that you have expressed to be abhorrent, but there is a part of me that would like to sit down, have a few drinks with you and talk to you to better understand why you feel the way you do.  I am confident that I would reject every view you hold dear, but understanding where you are coming from can make me wage war against you more effectively if circumstances came to that.
    I feel that your passion for the things that you believe in could be a powerful tool in making the world a better place if you would simply take time to listen to those who you disagree with (I feel hate, but as I said, I could be wrong) and incorporate some of the human aspirations that they have into your aspirations.  Maybe you will see that they want some of the very same things that you want and are not people who you should dislike or fear.

These same people started the Naacp. ADL,Southern Poverty Law Center and other human righs groups, yet they don't practice (in Israel) what they preach in America.. The word hypocritical comes to mind.

I will say that I respect you, I respect anyone for trying and you specifically,for trying to reach out to me. I also want to like you. I want to like everyone, as is my nature. You mentioned Immigration. I want to say that I actually like some of these illegal invaders as I have interacted with some. Some are nice people who mean well, but I also feel they are taking advantage of our generosity and will eventually take this country over by there sheer numbers. This has to be addressed and curbed immediately. I don't say this out of hatred for Mexicans and other Illegals, but as love for my country and people. I love my country and people more than i LIKE these invaders. Blood is thicker than water.

Number one, I am not Jewish.  My roots as a christian born person almost surely run as deep if not deeper than yours.  Hell, I never knew that there were Jewish people until I got to High School.  In the new testament driven world of my youth, people who you would call Jews were called "Israelites".  
    BTW, I am the "black sheep" in my family in that I am the only one not born again.  I have two siblings who are ordained ministers and one nephew who is.  My sisters can bible-thump with the best.  So it is unlikely that I will have a conversation about hobbying with any of them.
    Your start on your post was reasonably good start in that you seemed to have understood the Jews are an integral part of what I will call "humanity" and as such have made significant contributions to the betterment of humanity.  But then you took a seemingly sharp turn into irrational theories and accusations.
    The thing that I see from reading your posts is that you are an intelligent person, who althought you seem to read a slant into it, do appear to read fairly broadly the vehicles of human thought such as literature.  I guess given my background, I could have taken the same path that you seem hellbent on adhering to.  But for some grace, I did not and am now more than willing to stand against people who think as you do.  I think that the reason why I did not go down the path that you take is that I try to counterbalance my irritation with an individual with the knowledge that all who share a trait with that person is not necessarily like him or her - this counterbalancing is something that I think you lack and as a consequence, I think that your lack of it reduces you acceptance of other people's humanity.
