But I really like Harry, its just that he is wrong in his politics! Unlike many on this board, Harry has somehow managed to retain a modicum of sanity in his partisanship. And Harry was a stand up guy admitting his mistake over Rumsfeld. (even if I gave him a very generous six month window)
... The simulations I have seen using recent poll data suggest that Kerry is highly likely to win. The most straightforward way to read these things stick with polls of "likely" voters, take Kerry's current percentage and add in 75% of the undecided vote (that is conservative). It turns out that the undecided vote goes almost completely against the incumbent.
Either guy has a tough set of circumstances to face. Life will be interesting for the next several years (as it is now).
As a resident of Massachusetts, I can only hope that we take the Series, the Presidency, and the Super Bowl this year. That would give us bragging rights we could live on for a long time. I was sad that the Rangers weren't in the series: Massachusetts playing Texas in the series would have been fitting and wonderful.
It`s not only sad that the Texas Rangers aren`t going to play the Boston Red Sox in the World Series, it`s also impossible. Perhaps you meant the Houston Astros.
but I think the rule about undecided voters going against the incumbent got turned upside down after 9/11 - that's what it looked like in the 2002 elections. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see next Tuesday.
I have to agree with you HarryLime. In my area the repubs. do not stand much of a chance. All the lies that have been unmasked are falling back on the entire repub. party and incumbents are loosing ground.
