The central govenment killed 100's of thousands of it's citizens to enforce

it's dominance and deprive them of their rights of selfgovernance. Just like they do today. Only this time is was at the business end of musket and cannon..

2 things:

1) On second thought, southern states, you CAN go. We should've let you go when you wanted to.....just kidding (sort of).

2) Why is it that republicans are the sorest winners I've ever seen? The reason many Democrats think some of you are not the brightest bulbs on tree is because many of you (republicans) have become completely devoid of critical thought. As I stated in another post, you are so threatened by anything that challenges your fantasy about being "republican", you cannot see past the blinders that Karl Rove has strapped to the sides of your heads. As an example, when Clinton was president, "nation building" was bad. Now its good under G.W. Clinton was a draft dodger - but not G.W.?????? Then, republicans actually questioned Kerry's war record while their guy snorted coke while blowing off the Air Nation Guard!!!! Or Limbaugh the drug addict - you'll support him but not a poor minority that gets addicted to drugs. I could go on and on, but many republicans have reduced politics to the same level of professional sports. You just pick your favorite team and root for them no matter what. No matter how bad they are, or which players use drugs, or punch fans, they can do no wrong in your eyes because they are "your team". At least democrats still retain the ability to have dissention within in the party which leads to debate, which is how democracy should function.

Also, I'll repost the link that should be read by anyone that thought we invaded Iraq because of 9/11.

Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz had this in mind way before 9/11...it was just the excuse they needed. Be careful republicans, this will challenge what you beleive in.....scary, huh?

Finally, I look forward to a time that people can actually begin to think for themselves again and thoughtful debates become possible, instead of just blindly supporting whatever party you happen to beleive in...democrats and republicans alike.
