- Invaded Iraq based on lies (4 years from now we'll still be in a war with Iraq)
- Didn't catch Osama bin Laden
- Will screw us by "privatizing" Social Security (letting his Wall Street friends raid our funds)
- Giving all Government contracts to his friends, like Halliburton
- Is on a Christian religious crusade against everyone who doesn't believe what he believes (remember for me or against me)
- Impose his religious beliefs on everyone (no abortion, and no stem cell research) (whatever happened to the separation of church and state?)
And, 51% of us Americans voted for him. That 51% must love to get screwed.

An Act passed overwhelmingly by Congress, the Patriot Act does not affect the civil liberties of most Americans. And it is historically a rather mild response in a time of war.

While a mantra on the far Left, the "lies" aren't specified. Is Beachboy234 talking about the WMDs? If so, they weren't lies. As has been proven innumerable times, there was a worldwide consensus on Iraq's development and possession of WMDs. They were used against Iran in the Iran-Iraq War, and against the Kurds after the first Gulf War. Israel bombed the Osirik nuclear reactor in 1981 to cripple Saddam's program to develop nukes. Might the consensus about current possession of WMDs have been wrong? It appears so. That's a "mistake," not a "lie." Of course, if Beachboy234 refers to the Iraq/al Qaeda link, that is not a "lie," it is the "truth," as the 9/11 Commission reported. If Beachboy 234 refers to an asserted Iraq/9/11 link, then he is right; that is a "lie." It is a "lie" to assert that the Administration asserted such a link to justify its actions in Iraq. Only far Lefties opposed to everything Bush claimed that the Administration said it. And it is those far Lefties who are lying.

And BTW, allowing individuals to direct their own financial destiny is not "letting his Wall Street friends raid our funds." That's called "individual responsibility."

I can't stand talking about politics, but I had to reply here. Let me first say that I am not a staunch Bush supporter (I am a Republican though), but I keep reading a lot of anti-Bush posts on this board that are nothing but political rhetoric. Look...

Truman left office with the lowest approval rating of any president, yet he is now considered one of the best. The funny thing is that most of the people (older folks) who speak highly of Truman now are the same ones that bashed him long ago. I believe that one day (could be 10, 15, 30 or even 50 years from now) democracy will prevail in the middle-east, and Bush will be seen as a visionary. Mark my words.

The international community HAd figured out that there were probalby few if any WMD there- Only the Pentagon was sure.
