Have very much liked John Sayles, ever since the great B-horror movie Alligator (1980; Lewis Teague Director) of which he was the writer.

Favorite Sayles movie?

I can't decide between "Passion Fish" and "Lone Star".  Probably the latter, cuz I wanna fuck Elizabeth Pena. :P (Ever see "Jacob's Ladder"?)  Are Chris Cooper and David Straithairn criminally underrated actors, or what?

Probably one of the best (and most pertinent to this board) of the Sayles' films is Matewan, which also starred Chris Cooper.

James Earl Jones was awesome in that one...as well as Mary McDonnell...and Straithairn.
