Remove the Second Amendment

Second question, How many of you think even a single life will be saved by doing so?

I'll go first, I am all for outlawing anything that makes it easy to convert a semi auto into a "machine gun", but I have no delusions that this would have had stop the Vegas shooter from acquiring fully automatic weapons, nor would it have saved a single life IMHO. I also believe it's no more than a "feel good" law that won't save a single life. That said, I have ZERO objection to a law outlawing bump stocks.

Your thoughts, if any?

1) Ban semi-automatics. They were banned for ten years under the Brady Law and the world didn't end.
2) Buy back as many weapons as people want to sell, including pistols.
3) Ban high-capacity magazines.
4) Close the gun show loophole.
5) Ban sales to the mentally ill.
6) I could go on.
7) I will keep my legally licensed pistol anyway.

The Brady Bill did NOT ban semi-automatic weapons, what it did do was to ban the manufacture "for civilian purposes" certain semi-automatic weapons that looked scary and were thus deemed to be "assault weapons"

I too could go on, but if you are going to prove your ignorance of the facts, what's the point? It would be like arguing with the fatty twins.

Totally agree with the outlawing of the "bump stocks" attachment.
And here where I'll throw you a wicked curve ball that will bend your knees and make you scream "mommy"..
It will save lives...and it maybe could have captured the Vegas shooter, maybe....if.
Like all things illegal there's a black market, undercover buys...Maybe, just maybe a sting could've been set up, by authorities for the wackos who seek this, maybe like this shooter. Or he could have been investigated (for Christ sake, guy had 47 guys)...Of course the ATF would have to have the jurisdiction to cut through the red tape. But it's there or could be there, after all, he's trying to purchase an Illegal device...crazy huh?

You are really going to ask this stupid question?
Then get pissed with a response, you don't like on top of it?

So here is a simple answer for you.
It should be banned!

Your link is to the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban, which was NOT part of the Brady Bill which was passed the prior year.  I was incorrect in saying Brady banned assault weapons, just as YOU were WRONG to say Brady banned "the manufacture 'for civilian purposes' certain semi-automatic weapons."
So if you're going to go Full Pedantic Putz on anyone, GaGa, try to at least get it right.
As the attached article points out, "The Brady Bill, unlike other gun reform measures, was only concerned with regulating handguns."
I also note for the record you spent your entire reply going after a secondary point with mis-information and did not even comment on my main Point 1 or ANY of the others.
All in all, a rather embarrassing effort on your part.
You are free to try arguing with the fatty twins but your chances don't look good.

From what I have read, the guy had meticulously planned everything from beginning to end.     Guys like him will always find something else to accomplish what they want to do.     Gun Control, Gun Free Zones are a joke.

you most likely have a negative balance savings account and are overdrawn on your checking account.

I'm surprised you didn't use the word RACIST or CULT.

I don't give a fuck about the NRA blood money dumbass.

It's about the US Constitution and clearly just like Trump.
Also his stupid cult, they do not care or really respect it.

This is why, I continue to mock each response you post.
The stupidity and insensitivity you keep displaying is typical.

Just last week 58 people were killed and over 500 were hurt!

Then you want to post about the NRA blood money.

..an organization controlled by weapons mfg. & supported by brain-washed citizens so that they can sell more guns, the N.R.A. has no care or concern for the lives lost for their financial gains, they pray on the emotions of their brain-washed supporters & the billions of dollars they have to spend to maintain the status-quo. Buying the influence of the people that make laws of this country is truly the American way at least that what our Supreme Court says.

First of all, bump stocks were not “authorized” by Obama’s or congress during Obama’s administration.  The design was submitted to the ATF by its manufacturer,  SlideFire, Inc. under the guise of being an assistive device for people with disabilities in the use of their hands.  It was looked at by the ATF under rules promulgated by a very GOP and pro gun congress years before Obama took office.  The ATF determined that it could not regulate the bump stock because it was a “part” and not a fire arm subject to regulation.  So there’s that aspect to be looked at.

So, it will take an act of congress to ban bump stocks.  With the NRA doing a flip flop on their stance, it will take some real courage for congress to act.

As to whether or not banning them will save lives, that’s really a non- question.  Bump stocks kill marksmanship.  A trained marksman with the weapons Paddock had in his room would have been able to kill many more people than the spray and pray technique he used.  Less injured, more kills.  Neither is choice that should ever be made.

owning guns is not a human right. Only people with a good reason should be allowed to have a gun.

First of all, as a responsible gun owner, I don't like the idea.  People have aways hunted and gone target shooting in this country and they should always be able to.  Also, I like having a gun in my home for self-defense.  For example, if a Trump-loving nut breaks in I want to be able to blow a hole in him.
Second, as a practical matter removing an Amendment (or even passing a new one) is a political impossibility.  Attempting it is a huge waste of time.

government should know that you have a gun, what gun you have and why you think you need one, and be able to come and take it from you the day you start showing signs that you may be mentally unstable and/or a threat to yourself and others.

Not sure why guns must have safety standards below those that are required for driving cars. What you have today is only only fucked-up NRA nagative gone way out of control.

Clueless idiots generally fling stupid comments like "Racist" and "Cult" when backed into a corner and have nothing to cut and paste to even attempt at being right.
