FINALLY: ACTUAL REPORTING ON THE FLIP-FLOP SMEAR
-------------------------------------------------------------
Two stories do what reporters should have done long ago: debunk the charge that Kerry has flip-flopped on Iraq. It’s probably too late now to alter public perception, but truth is refreshing regardless.

It just shows how the current admin. will go to any length to keep the American people as confused as possible to further their own agenda.

Only a truly wise man could have predicted with such accuracy the coming of the "2nd Bush."  May God have mercy on us all:):)

"But we've got a big border in Texas, with Mexico, obviously -- and we've got a big border with Canada -- Arizona is affected."

One of the things that strikes me as I read the supporters of Bush on this forum and listen to the right-wing radio press is how black-and-white, good-and-back and un-nuanced their positions are. It's all marketing.  Stike certain key emotions - fear, anger and righteousness - and you can sell shit in a can.

One aside - has anyone reading this back and forth over the months had their minds changed?

Yes, I was going to vote for a Repub. in my state but seeing how they are acting I will be voting for everybody BUT Repubs. this go around. I really do not care what their position is, I just want them out.

we're all just unnuanced, unsophisticated, emotional rubes who can be taken in by any idiot who comes along.

Or your post is illustrative of the type of far-left arrogance which makes its candidates so unappealing to the American electorate.

By the way, this unnuanced, unsophisticated, emotional rube asked the same question weeks ago, confirming that no one had changed his or her mind.

that Kerry is a flip-flopper.  That charge won't work (IMHO).  Look what people perceived of Clinton prior to him taking office.  You ask him what his favorite color is & he will tell you plaid.

Seriously though.  Apart from Kerry being a walking contridiction, he dosen't have a history in the Senate to run on.  Pretty amazing if you ask me, but what do you expect?  You can't pin him down on any facts when he hasn't done anything.  If I had that record in my job, I would be fired.

Well at least you understand why we want to get rid of Bush- to replace him with a guy only slightly more qualified. But that sliver of a difference may be the difference between the totally asinine US behaviour of the past four years and getting back to being a moral compass in the world, as we have tried to be in the past.

When Bush puts the bar on the floor, any number of folks would make better POTii (Latin Joke).

Yeah, the left is certiantly aware of morality...... but it depends upon what your definition of IS, IS.

Yeah, the left certiantly has a monopoply there.

What I like about Bush is he takes a stand for things he belives in and doesent allow polls or his dick to dictate his actions.  I suppose that is why people who hate him are so worked up about it, they secretly admire his courage & wish they could find a canidate with a backbone to stand up for the convitions they find so dear.
