Why don't they stop lying to us, those guys are not "Contractors" in Iraq, they are Mercenaries and Soldiers of Fortune having a blast shooting people.

... There are truck drivers, cooks, builders, heavy machine operators, security guards,...   Few of them are armed.  There may be some small # of mercenaries and soldiers of fortune,  but a lot of people there aren't combatants.

Those "mercenaries and soldiers of fortune" are putting their asses on the line to protect the civilian contractors delivering aid services to Iraqi civilians. Unlike village idiots who spout off nonsense while sitting on their soft asses at a computer, these men are highly trained professionals willing to risk their lives to protect others. They should be paid well for what they are doing. And anyone with common sense should recognize the sacrifices they are making.

You are right, they are actually getting paid very well, but the only drawback is if they live long enough to enjoy it!

Most of the people there are everyday people trying to make a buck by filling a need.  I am sure, as pointed out, that a small percentage are mercenaries.

As a contractor here in the states, I've heard of rates as high as $300/hr that guys are getting in Iraq.  I think the mercenaries are too smart to be caught the way some of these guys where!
