Now pay attention to my point. The Dems didn't mention it AT ALL, hyper. Not one mention in 4 SOTU responses? You don't find that odd? The HuffyPoo sure did, and I would think the Lefties here who rail on about GW on a weekly basis would be pissed as well.

 
If you are not one of them. fine, but don't play dumb as to how important GW is to almost every Dem. Unless they are FOS and really,. privately, DONT care about it? Hmmmm....

I'd love to know how many Lefties on this board are either pissed or shocked that GW was not even mentioned ONCE by the Dems. Of course I wont get many responses bc the libs here don't want to admit it bc they cant criticize their party.

 
The Bern took a shot at Trump for not mentioning GW, but nobody was shocked that he did not. But for FOUR Dems ALL to pass on just mentioning it in what, 2 hours or speeches? Wow.

Find/conjure up an issue, seize on it and blow it out of proportion.  The Dems would have been stupid to bring up everything Drumpf DIDN'T mention and turn the rebuttal into a laundry list of crap no one would listen to.  They were much smarter to simply rebut what Donnie DID say.

I provided links from the HuffyPoo and the New Republic wondering why the Dems didn't make GW an issue as well. Did they "find/conjure up an issue, seize on it and blow it out of proportion" too? You dope.

 
The rebuttal shouldn't only focus on what the POTUS says, as it is a chance for the opposition party to state what it is FOR and not JUST what they are AGAINST.

And where did you see a conclusion in my OP? I merely asked a few questions. It would seem logical that the Dems have  lowered the priority/importance of GW based on their public statements. I wanted to know why the change.  

 
I was of the opinion that combating GW was a very big deal to liberals, as they have told us time and time again it is an existential threat to humanity.

 
Am I wrong? Does it bother you they didn't mention it?

Its just that the focus is on getting Trump thrown out in thelong term and taking back the House (hopefully) and getting a senate majority (likely to happen) to put a leash on him.  Actually what he needs is what we call on the ranch a tongue shank. Thats not as harsh as a stud shank, but since Trump has no balls, that would be useless.  Any true Vaqueros or horsey girls here know what I’m talking about.  Rest of you dudes can google it.  Nonetheless, that will obviously make great headways on the climate and conservation issues.

I never thought that I would see the GOP abandon true conservatism or the protections for our National Parks System and the preservation of natural lands by the National Forest Service/BLM, since that was an essential plank in the formation of the GOP in the first place.  But since the GOP seems intent on becoming the party of ignorance, I guess that conservatism is not longer of much interest.  It would appear that the GOP gave up on climate change long ago.

...Trump threw out in his S.O.T.U. speech it's no suprise that Dems. might have missed his including the use of "clean coal" as one of his accomplishments, but anyone who isn't some West Virginia half wit knows what a joke that is, there is no such thing. Yes I am a bit dissapointed that only Bernie thought enough about our contributions to global warming to bring it up.
