Pretty funny stuff.

His doofus persona and moronic creativity fit the boring profile of Democrat advertising.

I suffered through the entire 30 minute show "just in case" there was anything even remotely funny that I might have missed and I found the show just kind of silly and stupid. At least it wasn't 30 minutes of non-stop Trump bashing which is what I currently expect from anything coming from Showtime lately, but that is the nicest thing I can say about the show.

I only watched the clip. I found it funny on MANY levels. Others will find it funny for other reasons. But first of all, it is claimed that Cohen pranked lefties and righties in these episodes, including Bernie Sanders.
.
The character (Israeli commando) is funny. The patter is funny. The outlandish examples are tragically funny.
.
I didn't check to make sure that the people claimed to be gun supporters, gun organization spokesmen, Congressmen, and so on actually were those people and not actors. If they were actors, we'd be hearing about lawsuits already instead of admissions of "He tricked me! Bad man!"  So I'm going with the real people.
.
It's funny how people with an agenda so easily bought into the claims because those claims and ideas were consistent with their own views and positions. Only one person (in the clip version) questioned the claims as being outlandish. No one else questioned the "fake news" that Cohen was spewing because they liked his message! This trait is not exclusive to pro-gun lobbyists or righties. Many lefties can be pranked, too.
.
What is also funny is that no one questioned how or IF the weapons are modified to make them easier for kids to use. A typical hand gun has, what, a 4-5 pound pull force? A 5 yo can pull that, w/o modification? Maybe with two hands, held between her knees pushed into the floor, but not in real time trying to take down an armed moving target attacking her classmates. What about the recoil? 5-10 foot-pounds? An unmodified weapon using unmodified ammo will probably bounce a kid back across the room while dislocating her shoulder. [Note: this paragraph was sarcasm.]
.
Not sarcasm: An instructor was killed at shooting range when a young girl could not control the recoil or quickly remove her finger from the trigger on an Uzi.

Parents are buying bulletproof backpacks for their schoolkids:

.
Why aren't the gun manufacturers coming out with better designs to make a child appropriate suite of weapons and ammo (lighter weights, smaller grips, lighter pulls, lighter loads) and gear (bulletproof vests, ammo belts in child sizes)?  Without better equipment, I predict more tragic accidents. (Note: more sarcasm.)

This model comes in Ballistic Pink.

Or the lack thereof. I found myself cracking a smile maybe two or three times in the entire 30 minute show. But then some people think Jerry Lewis was a "comedic genius" and I can't suffer through more than about five minutes of anything he has done.

I think you should re-read my comments, NEVER did I say he only pranked righties and I gave him credit for NOT going on a thirty minute Trump bashing rant like so many of his comedic brethren seem to do nowadays. That is the only positive I came away with from the show. Aside from that it was simply boorish and decidedly unfunny, just like everything "Borat" has done before this.

Your observation about only one person questioning the claims is ridiculous. I can only imagine how many people he "attempted" to punk who didn't buy his bullshit before finding the few that actually were punked. Do you really expect him to load up the show with people calling him out? Come on Imp, you know better than that. Here is one guy who wasn't fooled at all and isn't particularly happy about the attempt to punk him. I guess gun shop owners are a lot smarter than politicians,  no big surprise there.

FWIW, you are hardly the only one who didn't actually watch the show, it opened with dismal ratings of barely 300,000 total viewers who wasted thirty minutes of their (our) lives watching this drivel.

I actually like Cohen a lot but it only took me about 5 minutes to realize this excerpt was nearly devoid of humor.  If you wasted another 25 minutes of your time on it, you have FAR too much time on your hands, although that was already obvious from the amount of time you waste posting here.

But you aren't 100% wrong this time. In my defense, I had recorded the show and I didn't watch it all in one sitting, I spaced it out over a few hours "just in case" there was anything actually funny to the show before I deleted it.

I will tell you one thing I did find absolutely hilarious and that is the gunshop owner who busted him less than a minute into his bullshit. I just saw an interview with the guy and he proves that not all Californians are either fruits, nuts or flakes.  Fuck Joe the Plumber, this guy is the kind of guy that makes us Trump voters look good.

Everything is funny, when you're on weed. :-D

It probably isn't that funny if you think about it.

.
John R. Bolton was duped to make a video in support of gun rights in Russia by an "obscure Russian gun rights group with ties to the Kremlin."
.
"Russian politician Alexander Torshin (Butina's direct report) helped establish The Right to Bear Arms and cultivate ties with American gun rights groups including the NRA. As a Putin ally, Torshin served as the deputy speaker of Russia's parliament for more than a decade ... It's a relationship that has outsize importance now that the FBI is reportedly investigating whether Torshin illegally funneled money to the NRA to assist the Trump campaign in 2016 ... Russian gun laws are relatively strict, and there is no fundamental right to own a gun."
.
It is my understanding that Russian citizens are not allowed to own guns but that they are allowed to carry bullets on their person (in body parts or body cavities) after they have been explosively discharged from the guns of Russian government employees.
.
(This stuff is coming out again because of the Butina indictments.)

Oops. I meant to say the Bolton was NOT pranked. Double oops.  I meant that Bolton was NOT not pranked.
