CNN made my head explode. A Washington Post reporter told Don Lemon why Trump melted down Sat.

The theory was because it was on a Saturday, that meant his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, could not get on the phone and talk him down from vaporing about the 3 million illegal voters who swung the popular vote to Clinton.  Why?  Kushner (and his wife Ivanka) are Orthodox Jews and cannot do anything considered "work" on the Sabbath. Ask Doc. They can't pick up a phone or turn on a light.  Serious Jews even unscrew the lightbulb in their refrigerators. In the old days Orthodox Jews would hire a gentile to turn on lights and such.  They were known as "Shabbos Goys."  In fact, Elvis Presley was a Shabbos Goy.  It's a great story and easy to find.  Yes, these people are nuts.
But my suggestion is, for the sake of humanity -- in case Kim Jong-Un says Donnie has tiny hands on a Saturday -- Jared Kushner should PLEASE hire a Shabbos Goy who will dial the phone and hold it near his mouth so he can talk his demented father-in-law from ending life as we know it on earth.
It's not much to ask.

...anything about Jews.  There are many different sects of Orthodox Jews.  Each sect has its own rules.  Jared Kushner doesn't even wear a beanie so he is far from Ultra-Orthodox, the Jews who would follow the restrictions JakeFromTheFunnyFarm listed.  To be Orthodox, Ivanka would have to cover her hair with a hat, a wig or a kerchief/scarf.  She would also have to dress modestly, covering up her arms and wearing long dresses.  The dress code for Orthodox Jewish women is just a few steps removed from a burkha.  Only a woman's husband is allowed to see her hair.  It's called "Tzniut" or "modesty."

Some sects of Orthodox Judaism allow Jews to work on a Saturday if it is an emergency.  An Orthodox surgeon (with a beanie) operated on a relative of mine on a Saturday.

The Kushners can say they're Orthodox Jews; that doesn't mean they are.  JakeFromTheFunnyFarm can say: "Everything I say is smart"  but his posts put the lie to that statement.

Here is an example of how an Orthodox Jewish woman is supposed to dress.  And she isn't even THAT Orthodox because she is still showing some arm and leg.  I'll believe Ivanka is Orthodox when she starts to dress like this:
