Probably Kasich was most on the mark. I basically heard him say, last night, that if each one of us is not acting in a way that makes us part of the solution, we are part of the problem. Help is needed by way too many people, and it needs to come from sources that work, whether they be individuals, houses of worship, businesses, local government, state government or federal government. But, the help must come. Pointing fingers, while doing nothing accomplishes nothing.
Clearly, just throwing money we don't have at the problem isn't working.
50% of America gets government assistance. That's ridiculous.
I am all for a social safety net for the REALLY needy but I am sorry Matt, 1/2 the public cant be needy and if they are, they need to make changes in their life.
We are barreling towards $20 trillion in debt and the whole thing is at risk as CBO tells us every year our debt load is unsustainable, something the author of your attached piece either doesn't know about or doesn't care about.
And the article was written in such a bumper sticker, third grade manner it is impossible to take anything he says seriously.
As for Kasich, he is the only fkker on either aisle running for pres that makes any sense to me. Him and Webb should run Indy on same ticket and fk both parties.
Lucky for us we either got Trump or Hilary as POTUS, apparently. A thought that should send shivers down the back of people who care about the U.S.
Since you are for "forcing people to help themselves," perhaps you can work on forcing middle aged whites to not kill themselves off at an increasing rate!
