Trump has realigned the GOP. That's why the never-Trumpers are upset. Ironically the never_Trumpers represent the neocons who were once hawkish liberals but fled the pacifistic Democrats so they could continue to advocate for foreign military intervention. Trump has a fairly long history of being opposed to foreign intervention. He essentially displaced the neocons and brought the GOP along. The Clinton/Obama/Biden wing of the Dems are itching to get re-involved in foreign adventures. Trump has more in common with Bernie Sanders on trade and foreign wars than he does with neocons and other never-Trumpers. The neocons are all endorsing Biden. I'm not sure the Dems want them. No matter who wins this election, the neocons might be orphans. They're hoping to take back the GOP if Trump loses. But I think people will remember their Biden advocacy. . It's Trump's GOP these days. The Bushes and Romneys are out.
