EV batteries won't hold a charge in sub-zero weather, so the charging stations from Chicago to New York are becoming Tesla graveyards as cars drive in to charge and then can't be moved because the charge won't hold. They just showed a bunch of photos from Chicago of charging stations packed with cars, with snow up to the windows and nobody around.
so sub-zero temps are all but impossible except at the highest elevations in our mountains. I have not met a single Tesla owner in California who wasn't a Democrat. You have to ask yourself how stupid are the Green New Hoax libs that bought Teslas in the Northeast and didn't know this, either.
I believe in science, but not in the fake science of the lefties. That's why I never wore a mask during the covid years except in a medical facility, where it was required in order to receive services. I've had Covid three times, and it has had no effect on me. I did get the first three jabs in 2021. MY first case of the Covid was two months after the booster, which was 8 months after the first two shots. I get a charge out of the libs that are still wearing masks these days. In fact, I was driving behind a car a few days ago with the first "Biden" bumper sticker I have seen this year. Yes, battery performance is determined by temperature. Gasoline doesn’t freeze until some ridiculous temperature like -50F. Diesel freezes at a bit warmer temps. Transistors are also prone to failure due to cold temps as well as very warm temps and radiation. Solar panels function off of a kind of transistor where the solar radiation is applying energy to the transistor’s gate or base. Wind turbines don’t function well in bad weather. They’re often destroyed. And gasoline is around 5 quadrillion times more energy dense than solar or wind. That’s not to say solar is a bad energy source per se. After all it’s free. But you can’t power a modern civilization off of it.
Our primary energy power should be coming from fission nukes. It's clean. There is enough thorium for 1000 years, not counting seawater uranium and thorium (presently too costly to harvest) that could provide energy for hundreds of thousands of years. We really don't have a clean energy shortage, we have bad policies run by Greenie idiots. . We also have trillions in gasoline infrastructure that "progressives" want to throw away when instead we could develop synthetic fuels like butanol that can reuse the existing gasoline transportation and storage infrastructure as well as burn in existing gasoline engines. Butanol can be synthesized from CO2 sources using nuke energy. Since CO2 is reused in this case it is no longer an accumulating "greenhouse gas." . Unfortunately our energy policy is being dictated by humanity hating Marxists. They're happy to have hundreds of millions die on the alter of their ideological purity. Sweethearts all.
