The FBI Director's term is 10 years in order to minimize political influences. Hopefully Wray will stay on until his term is up in 2027, forcing Trump to have to fire him, if he wants to crowbar Patel into the position.

that the 10-year term only came after J. Edgar Hoover retired in 1972 after 37 years. Until then the post was totally politicized. I think it's a bad idea to fire Wray but that's typical for Trump. He "only hires the best people" until they quit or piss him off. Also, Kash Patel, although a total partisan is also completely qualified given his background as a prosecutor and in intelligence. Will he do damage? Yes. Exactly the kind of damage Trump wants him to do.
But he's not like Matt Gaetz, who was totally unqualified.

Partisan comments in congressional testimony.  He has to go.  The head of the FBI should be non-partisan.  I agree Cash Patel has experience clean up the department, but he will have to rein in his own partisanship.  Only the worst cases of complete partisan hackery should be shown the door during the first go-around of firings.  

Kash intends to pare down agents in DC and send them to the states. 20% of the FBI agents work out of DC.

In fact, I am certain Trump wants him to take a wrecking ball to the FBI. Just watch. No doubt there are a few partisan hacks in the FBI but it's generally a politically neutral-to-right-wing place. Patel himself is an example of a right wing partisan hack.

When Blasey-Ford came forth with allegations against Kavanaugh the FBI, at Trump's behest, did a totally bogus investigation that turned up nothing because it looked for nothing.
So there's also righty hackery there. I wonder if the agents who led that "investigation" will be fired?

I completely agree. Recall Trump fired his first AG Jeff Sessions, when Trump discovered he wasn't a loyalist after all. I'm sure Kash is well aware of that episode and takes it to heart.

1) Find where I ever said I was "a real cop." You can't because I never said I wore blue and walked a beat. What I SAID was I was a law enforcement officer. Which I was, for NY State. And that's all you get to know about it. I was FAR more a law enforcement officer than YOU ever were a soldier, faker.
2) I never described what level of credibility Blasey-Ford had as a  witness, only that she came forward and her claims were investigated. What I SAID was the FBI, influenced by the Trump Administration, conducted a sham investigation, just as this article describes it. And of course, looser being a toxic Trump-bot, won't believe it. Shame on him.

He was a law enforcement officer though it is a real stretch…..he was actually a school crossing guard. (He would wear the police vest so he could pretend to be real law enforcement and try to  impress the everyone.)   He would likely still be a crossing guard if not for that incident, yeah when he….well actually I cannot talk about it here. Any way he is not allowed….well never mind.
