I am just baffled by Trump Inc. They told us this campaign would be all about the border, inflation, etc but its been all about not vetting his VP choice, talk about cat ladies, mentioning Harris's race, Trump arguing with Kemp, etc. . You have to admit CKS, the switch to Kamala has really thrown Trump off his game. In the latest Marist Poll, she is beating him soundly with Indy's, 53-44. He badly needs a change of direction as the Dems will now garner all the attention in their convention. He is really struggling.
Trump is winning. No one on the Trump side is worried about Vance. Walz on the other hand, I’ve seen everyone from Morning Joe to Steve Kornacki to Cenk Uygur flipping out over Walz. He’s looked like a goofball while Shapiro looked like a million bucks and PA is a make or break state for Harris.
I'm actually worried they'll try to dump Walz. But maybe not pick the Jew but go with Beshear or someone. I thought they might go back to Shapiro but you saw at the rally that Kamala was interrupted by the Hamas wing of the party. They can't afford to have a Jew on the ticket.
The only thing that could prevent it is Republican governors in the states they control. That’s why I love my governor. He actually cares about election integrity. The one state that won’t contribute to a stolen election is my home state of Virginia.
But Virginia is very much a blue state. We also have a good history of the state being very well run. Not much corruption, at least historically. Most of our politicians would rather be seen and not heard.
The polling has pretty consistently now had Trump leading by a small margin. 1-4% depending on the poll. And there’s a real divide too. As soon as you drive past the Stafford county line you see Trump signs everywhere. I have not seen many Biden or Harris signs in Northern Virginia, but these people are more left wing than Mao. Much of the population growth of the state is here, many of them are illegal, and many of them are Hispanic and Korean. But many of them by now have US citizenship.
So if Harris wins Virginia, she in all likelihood will win it fair and square. But I don’t think she will. It will be close however. Probably by 1% or maybe even less.
If Harris does lose Virginia, I don’t see how she can get to 270.
