In their defense, speech really is not "free" anymore. Not even on the TER boards.

The GOP having much interest in free speech, that is.

was Romney wearing a white hood.

Quite the contrary. My fear is that Obama and his re-election team get to confident and don't worry about Romney enough.

will be a two term president... I don't base this on any facts, only on my own assumptions.

The republican party dosen't appear to take themselves seriously, I certainly don't

Party and politics' may change a great deal over the coming years. It will be more money oriented. Controlled and run by big business. With the recent US Supreme court decision taking the shackles off of corporations to donate and influence politics they will. They just haven't figured out how to best use this new tool.

An honest politician will be one who is bought and stays bought.

These campaigns will only get uglier. What happens when BB buys both sides?

they have done that for years.

I don't think the AFL-CIO donates to the Dems for better goverment for the poor masses. And I don't think COP has much interest in free speach.

I was thinking if the same SI bought out both sides, to play the parties against one another on stage. BB/SI gets their way behind closed doors. I know there are alot of individuals who have their own agendas for that to work, maybe it has already happend ?

If and when big business buys both sides, then it will be to hedge their bets and get additional protection that their interests are covered. It's already happening to some extent in Congress.

It's certainly a possibility. It's been a while (16 years) since a president was voted out of office after just one term (George Bush?).

I have only been around, since Ronnies first year in office, hey anything could happen.

Absolutely anything can happen. That's why I hope Obama and the Dems don't get too overconfident.
