The article was real-time reporting on the J6 hearing. In that session, the names of those that sent the messages was not made as a PUBLIC disclosure. It turns out that Cassidy was one of the targets of the Team Trump pressure (tampering) campaign. Cassidy made it clear in her testimony that her Trump-paid lawyer pressured her not to testify against Trump and to fall back on the old "I don't remember" answers.

The House Oversight Subcommittee alleges former Rep. Liz Cheney tampered with witness Cassidy Hutchinson during the January 6 hearings, urging the FBI to investigate for violations of witness tampering laws. Cheney’s communications reportedly bypassed Hutchinson's legal counsel.
is on the short list for a preemptive Biden pardon. This provides the "why" she is on the list.
SOURCE???
.
During the J6 hearings, it was brought out that Team Trump had been pressuring Cassidy AND OTHERS not to tell the truth or to say too much and to forget things. Cheney displayed some of the text messages during the hearing:

US Capitol Riot Panel Hints at Criminal Referrals for Witness Tampering [June 30, 2022]
.
"... Representative Liz Cheney, vice chairperson of the House of Representatives investigative panel, displayed Tuesday two messages from notes sent to hearing witnesses saying that former President Donald Trump was keeping a close eye on the hearings and was counting on continued loyalty. The senders of the notes weren't identified. ...
.
"CNN quoted unidentified sources Thursday saying Hutchinson was one of the witnesses who had been contacted by someone attempting to influence her testimony. ..."
.
"One [witness] said, “What they said to me is as long as I continue to be a team player, they know I’m on the team, I’m doing the right thing, I’m protecting who I need to protect, you know, I’ll continue to stay in good graces in Trump World.” “And they have reminded me a couple of times that Trump does read transcripts and just to keep that in mind as I proceed through my depositions and interviews with the committee,” that witness continued. ...
.
"a second witness said, “[A person] let me know you have your deposition tomorrow. He wants me to let you know that he’s thinking about you. He knows you’re loyal, and you’re going to do the right thing when you go in for your deposition.”
statements attributed to "unidentified sources" in quotation marks. That makes them so much MORE believable. Lol
The only names we have are "One witness . . ." and "a second witness . . ."
Then CNN says someone contacted Hutchinson who was trying to influence her testimony, but apparently, that person doesn't have a name.
Yes, Impp, you have done a fine job nailing down the facts and who said what to whom. You're a real Sherlock Holmes.

you attributed to "unnamed sources" of CNN, which is not a reputable reporting outlet.
You haven't said if you agree that Liz Cheney deserves to be charged for witness tampering for bypassing her lawyer and telling her what to say via text message. Text messages are a form of documentary evidence, much better than unnamed sources allegedly telling CNN something, which is hearsay. If Hutchinson did not want to take the advice of her own attorney, she has the right to a new attorney, but her attorney advising her is not the same as Liz Cheney, a member of the Committee coaching her on what to say. People hire attorneys to get advice, but it's up to them whether to take it or not.
