Media companies churning out lies will not go bankrupt because they're merely subsidiaries of larger entities. For instance, the Washington Post belongs to Bezos and he doesn't need it to produce a net positive cash flow as a stand alone entity. It's more valuable to him as a propaganda platform; he can afford to "lose money" keeping it afloat since it serves his larger needs. It's that way for most of these media outlets, whether they belong to Disney or whomever. They don't have to be profitable as stand-alones, but rather should be considered "expenses" of a parent entity. But yeah, they have lost all credibility with people who aren't abject partisan hacks.
