Exactly. Wanker has a bad habit of trying to conflate unrelated issues in order to dilute the original point.

"Plans for a large military parade coinciding with the President [Trump]’s 79th birthday would likely cost tens of millions"
.
"Detailed army plans for a potential military parade on Donald Trump’s birthday in June call for more than 6,600 soldiers, at least 150 vehicles, 50 helicopters, seven bands and possibly a couple of thousand civilians, the Associated Press has learned."

The parade Trump wants will be a well-planned celebration on his birthday, though it aloo happens to be the 250th anniversary of the founding of the US Army. The celebrations Wanker refers to were spontaneous outpourings of joy upon the surrender of Nazi Germany.
Poor Wanker. He's just goofy.

I recall watching local holiday parades with the HS and JHS marching bands, a firetruck or two, local orgs (Kiwanis, Lions Club, etc.), other holiday-specific floats and marchers, and an occasional jeep-hauled howitzer from the local Armory / Army Reserve.

At the divorce hearings, Minnie Mouse's lawyer confronted Mickey Mouse. "So you are suing for divorce on the grounds that your wife, Minnie, is insane, a groundless accusation. Where is the proof?" Mickey interrupted, "I didn't claim to have proof that Minnie was insane. I claimed spousal infidelity and here are the photos that prove she was fucking Goofy."

'Plans call for 6,686 soldiers, 50 aircraft, seven bands and 152 vehicles, including 92 categorized as “heavy.” Those include M-1 Abrams tanks and vintage World War II Sherman tanks. The parade is scheduled to last nearly four hours and be capped off with a fireworks display.'
Musk and DOGE would have considered this event a grandiose waste of tax payer money and military resources and would have cancelled it without hesitation. And the irony is that this birthday party comes when DOGE has plans to fire 83,000 federal workers in the VA of which 70% are veterans.
