The issues is that Barr and others have found FRAUD.... but nothing "wide scale". It was proven back in 2020 and 2021.
They showed small little things. Nothing that would have "changed" the election results. But IMHO it is enough to show we need to bring integrity back into our elections.
I myself saw it personally many people who came out to vote that I never saw before. Also that I never knew lived in my town/community. I now live in a small community. Where you pretty much see and know much of the community and if you don't others do. Especially when my "circle" is involved with community activities, volunteering, etc. We all noticed many people we didn't recognize. (I have helped with voting for 16 years). I helped register many new voters. MANY didn't know how to register and ONLY wanted to vote for president. Which I am happy people want to get into voting it is their right..... but only wanting to vote for president is "fishy" if you ask me. But we helped them and processed them thru. BTW.... still haven't seen many of them since that vote. Doesn't mean they don't live here.... but is just fishy to me, Just saying.
Being apart of the process is also why I know that "non citizens" are allowed to vote in local elections. What I mean by "non citizens" are people with green cards, visa's, etc. It is legal for them to do so. But guess what.... we are not allowed to ask for citizenship when handing ballots and our community doesn't have separate ballots for local elections and federal elections. They are all on the same ballot. How many "non citizens" voted.... I don't know. I couldn't tell you if zero or 1000 went thru our doors. Before people go off on this. "Non citizens" have a right to vote for school board members, city council members, city ordinances, etc. In the communities they live and work in. If they are here legally. They SHOULD have a say. I believe in that.
But that is why I think our system needs to change.
1. It is why I think we need ID to vote. (non citizens can still vote in local and let them know this)
2. Need separate ballots for Federal, State, and Local elections (some places might already have that).
3. We also need to have election day a federal holiday.
None of those things "infringes" on anyone's rights. States hand out free ID's. It is easy to get ID and there are community resources that will help people get IDs or get them to and from places to get IDs. Plus, you can get passports or passport cards at post offices. You can get "assistance" to purchase these or possibly if they pass the voter ID law.... offer the funding.
Just idea's that our elected officials should agree on. It is simple and isn't any infringement of rights. It is actually showing others they have rights if they are scared.
