Dems are still trying to figure out why they lost. Have they figured out yet that wokeness is about as popular as AIDS?

That I hope doesn't turn into an all out war. It is normal for there to be some infighting after a loss like this for a few weeks, or maybe months, but this could spill into something wider. We only have ourselves to blame. We sat back and remained silent when crazy people with crazy ideas came to the forefront on our side. I hope my party has learned to stand up to dumb movements immediately in the future, and beat them back, otherwise instead of it being just a minor trash can fire, it becomes a full out, 4 alarm blaze and the whole house is burnt to the ground.

When these… attitudes have become this entrenched in your party even a loss of this magnitude will not wake them up.  Donors on the other hand? They are pulling the rip cord in droves.

You fear an all out war? I don’t see that coming. The 2026 elections will most likely be a fight for control of the House, meaning it will be carried out on a district by district level with the only national message being “stop Trump”.

Grab some clippers and shave your head to protest. It would amuse me to no end if all the women of The View got on board with this!

Look at how many Republicans were quick to stab Trump in the back after 2020.  Of course now they are back trying to get in with the Trump administration.
.
Politicians are generally as bad as you imagine. Doesn't matter which party.

Right now we have nasty finger pointing over whose fault it is. There are break downs on race lines, gender lines, age lines, etc. These are not your normal inner party squabbles over tax policy or social security. These run deeper than that. Do I think it will happen? No probably not but the risk is there.
.
The national message THIS election was “stop Trump” and that didn’t go to well. We’ll see how this plays out but some of this has been bubbling under the surface for a few years now. Like I said, it is due in part for not pushing back strongly and quickly enough on really bad ideas. But some of the people being pushed back on now have been emboldened and aren’t likely to go quietly into the night.

That’s one aspect that I’ve noticed has become quite heated on X. Self described members of the KHive 🐝 (Black women who supported Kamala) seem to be blaming white liberal women for the majority WW vote for Trump. They are warning the White women to do their protest marches on their own.

The bickering along race lines isn’t confined to social media. MSNBC host Joy Reid recently went on a racist rant against white liberal women on her show.

A lot of that woke nonsense was pushed by more mainstream Democrats in an attempt to counter Bernie Sanders. Bernie was pushing for broad economic reforms. The Democrats responded by calling his supporters "Bros" and accusing Sanders of being racist/sexist and only caring about white dudes. They kept pushing the woman's rights, trans rights, immigrant rights and social justice issues in order to show themselves as more progressive than crusty old white guy Bernie. This worked because a lot of Democrats are highly educated and highly paid people who want to think they are good people but don't want their taxes to go up. They like to make empty gestures on social justice issues but they really don't mind that much when Republicans cut their taxes. They don't actually want to address any issues which is why they fell into the identarian bs. However, I really can't say things would have gone better if the Sanders wing won. Joe had a hard time getting laws passed because of his own party. Its not like Sanders would have had an easier time.

Also the states and cities that Democrats are running aren't doing a great job. They kind of did a shitty job governing overall.

Months ago, I mentioned a couple things to pay attention to. One of which was the amount of homes and businesses that I started to notice supporting Trump by placing signs in their yards. I mentioned how these were real voters and to take note of it because those are not polls, they're real votes. Working class neighborhoods and small businesses alike.

The other thing I mentioned was the amount of women that I had noticed online and on social media posting this statement  "I'm a woman and I do NOT stand with her"

Two people continued to make fun of those. One is on this very thread. The other quit posting most likely due to embarrassment. The K-hive women didn't pay attention and now blaming WW. How did they miss it?

I guess we can ask the same two that gave me a hard time.

Hey, Big PappaFlop, why aren't you jumping up and down (besides the fact that you can't) about Joy Reid's obvious Racism?
