I’m on my way to Israel.

I’ll be meeting with those impacted by the horrific terrorist attacks and offering California’s support

Some of his pro-Palestinian constituents are not happy about it.

I voted for you for governor, Gavin, but this is absolutely despicable. This is not what California stands for.

My take? Gavin is running a shadow presidential campaign.

There are a myriad of reasons the President may not run.

Health and age are the two obvious ones. Newsome is just keeping his options open as Joe is no lock to run. Pissing off a few progressive Californians on this issue is reminiscent of Bill Clinton's "Sister Soulja" moment, if you get the reference.

Very good points. I just find it amusing that he’s put in the position of having to run a shadow campaign, for the time being. It’s really got to be irritating those in Kamala’s camp who believe she’s earned an automatic nomination from the Democratic Party in the event Biden drops out.
