Why would the White House release Obama's photo showing him skeet shooting now?

The election is over.. So there is no political motive... He is the POTUS, so there is no ambition of higher office...So the question of winning over gun friendly democrats, who might consider him anti 2nd Amendment, or Independents who he might lose, is out of question...

This picture certainly doesn't help the bill sponsored by Senator Diane Feinstein (D-CA). It doesn't hurt much either, and he is not shown with AR-15 or AK-47, the kind of rifles that the bill proposes to ban.

Are we supposed to just take this at face value that he is just having some good time with his buddies? I am not at alll convinced that there is no more to this than just innocent fun... And if this is just innocent fun, why haven't we heard of it before? Too afraid of losing liberal votes over skeet shooting? I think Americans are open minded enough. We heard stories about Golfing and Basketball to death... I mean at one time I even thought that the man was going to participate in the PGA tour...

What do smart minds think?

that they released this photo now, well, I have this bridge in Brooklyn I'd like to sell you.  I find the release of this photo to be a blatant and unsubtle attempt to show Obama likes his guns as much as the next redneck.  And I don't think it will work.

But it doesn't help passing of the bill that is introduced, not does it help or hurt him politically as the question is not applicable anymore..

It confuses me more than anything.. Perhaps we should just wait and watch... There is more to come...
