FBI Head Quits. Another One Bites The Dust.

From the article linked below:

“Before President-elect Donald Trump could say "You're Fired!" - FBI Director Christopher Wray has resigned, and will leave his post at the end of President Joe Biden's term.

“Wray's decision comes weeks after Trump nominated Kash Patel as his replacement. Patel, a fierce critic of the FBI, has said he would seek to shrink the agency's power, close its Washington headquarters, fire its top ranks, and prosecute corrupt agents.

“While Wray's departure was always in the cards, the move comes two days after Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) wrote an 11-page letter to Wray asking him to step down, accusing him of mismanagement and "failure to take control of the FBI."

“Grassley also mentioned in his letter his inquiry about the vetting of refugees from Afghanistan through the Operation Allies Welcome program. In February 2022, the Department of Justice (DOJ) reported that the Department of Homeland Security had not cross-checked these evacuees against data from the Department of Defense.

“As a result, 50 individuals who had been flagged as “potentially significant security concerns” by the National Ground Intelligence Center were allowed into the United States.

“Wray said “in a classified multi-agency briefing to congressional staff” that he was unsure of the location of other refugees who might pose a threat, Grassley wrote.

“I can’t sit here right now and tell you that we know where all are located at any given time,” Grassley quoted Wray as saying.

“He pointed out that one potential terror threat had been foiled when the FBI arrested Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi on Oct. 7 of this year. Tawhedi was allegedly planning a terror attack to disrupt the U.S. election on Nov. 5.

“Grassley also accused Wray and the FBI of exercising a double standard by refusing to investigate President Joe Biden’s or former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information.”

What excuse will Wanker make now for hires Trump made that he later turned on, or turned on him. The list is FAR longer than any other President.

fools or incompetence like traditional Washington politicians do.  Letting bad hires stay in their job only happens in the government, never in private business where the goal is to NOT lose money.

Trump actually benefits from 4 years out of office and presumed politically dead. Everyone that was secretly thwarting him came out to dance on his grave. Now he comes back with an all-star team of loyalists with a naughty list ready to clean house.

The answer is, every time I write a post like this. But you still can't possibly imagine why Trump made so many more bad choices (by his own reconning) than any other President.
As usual, and like every other Trumpist, you are running away from facts.
Republicans HATE facts.

insiders on his transition team in 2016.   How many are back this go-around?  He' no longer a fish out of water.  This time, he is surrounding himself with smarter people and he also has enough of his own experience with various cabinet posts from his four years as Prez to know who might be the best fit for each one.  It's a whole new ball game.  The past doesn't mean anything unless you want to live there.

lots of the people he's hiring now were with him the first go-round and have written much of Project 2025. So they have a blueprint and will now begin executing it, eliminating things like Wanker's job. That will at least be a small measure of progress.
All Wanker does is work from home while smoking weed while occasionally going out to cash his ill-gotten paycheck so he can spend your (and my) money.
Wanker is a thief.

That's a stretch - even for filthy maga traitors.  The correct term would be sycophants. Loyalists. And weak minded 'yes' men and women with nothing but fealty for the head filthy maga traitor and convicted felon criminal rapist.

Trump? "... never in private business where the goal is to NOT lose money." ????????????
.
Trump: at least 6 bankruptcies. MULTIPLE failed businesses (Trump Shuttle, Trump Vodka, Trump Steaks, Trump Magazine, Trump Plaza, Trump Tower Chicago, Trump Baku, Trump Soho, ... ) and business FRAUD settlements (Trump University, Trump Foundation, Trump Organization $400+ M judgement, Trump racial discrimination settlements) and repeated Trump defamation lawsuits -- you'd think that a **smart** CEO would learn to shut his mouth after the first $15M settlement and not repeat it and watch the courts bump it up to $115 M (plus interest).
.
EVERYTHING TRUMP TOUCHES DIES.

"Worst President Ever" just go re-elected in a landslide.  Get over it.

Would you like to make a bet whether the $400M judgment gets reversed on appeal?   It's disingenuous to try to glean support for your argument from lawsuits that have not been finalized.  Big companies settle lawsuits every day.  They are settled to avoid litigation and WITHOUT any admission of guilt on the part of the settler.  Name any fortune 500 company, and you can find where they have settled a lawsuit somewhere along the way.

Many large companies have also used the bankruptcy laws to reorganize their businesses.  Here's a link to 212 Chapter 11 filings for 2024, including Spirit Airlines.   Trump is not alone in using this tactic to keep his business going.  There is no shame in reorganizing rather than closing down.

been reelected in 2020, the last four years would have looked like the first four, i.e., Dems blocking him at every step from making things better.  Things getting worse under Biden is what will enable him to move forward with both houses of Congress putting his policies into law.

I think the "all-star" that is going to be the most fun to watch is Cash Patel.  After that, the Ramaswamy-Musk duo cleaning house of government leeches.  Get some popcorn and watch it unfold over the first 100 days.

Theirs is not an official body and it has no power except to make recommendations. So any changes can only be made in Congress where the Rep. majority just got shrunk to around 3. Even with a bigger margin than that in the last Congress they got nothing done.
Oh, and it's "Kash." Short for Kashyap.

when Trump takes office, will be by 5, 220-215.  They got nothing done because they did not have the Senate, now they do.

A lot of what Ramaswamy and Musk will be doing will fall under the executive branch, not Congress.  Unelected Federal employees not working in the Legislative or Judicial branches serve at the pleasure of the President and can be fired regardless of their bullshit Union.

"Landslide"?????
Harris: 74,983,555 votes 48.4%
Trump: 77,269,255 votes 49.9%
Others: 100 - 98.3 = 0.7%
MORE THAN HALF OF THE VOTERS VOTED AGAINST TRUMP!
.
"Big companies settle lawsuits every day.  They are settled to avoid litigation ..."?????
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Personal_and_business_legal_affairs_of_Donald_Trump
"From 1973 until he was elected president in 2016, Donald Trump and his businesses were involved in over 4,000 legal cases in United States federal and state courts, including battles with casino patrons, million-dollar real estate lawsuits, personal defamation lawsuits, and over 100 business tax disputes. He has also been accused of sexual harassment and sexual assault, with one accusation resulting in him being held civilly liable. One case involved a 13 year old child. ...
.
"While litigation is indeed common in the real estate industry, Trump has been involved in more legal cases than his fellow magnates Edward J. DeBartolo Jr., Donald Bren, Stephen M. Ross, Sam Zell, and Larry Silverstein combined. ..."
.
Trump sued Bill Maher over a joke!!! The "4,000" number is up until 2016 so it doesn't include post-2016 civil and criminal lawsuits. ... But, according to CDL, it's perfectly normal!!
.
"fortune 500 company" - Trump wouldn't last one day in a leadership (or ANY!) position at a Fortune 500 company.
.
"Many large companies have also used the bankruptcy laws to reorganize their businesses." - Look deeper into  Trump's bankruptcies: they were almost always due to Trump's stupidity (e.g., ignoring expert advice and cannibalizing his own casinos; ignoring expert advice and spending too much on decorations at his casinos; ignoring expert advice and overpaying to buy the Eastern Shuttle and turning it into a "luxury" shuttle: NOT EVEN ONE MONTH OF PROFITABLE OPERATION!; etc..), Trump's reckless spending, Trump's fraud, or other Trump fuck-up.
.
Trump did not declare bankruptcy the Trump Tower Chicago. He defaulted on his loans, sued the lender, Deutsche Bank, and obtained ~$200 M of loan forgiveness on ~$500 M of loans. (Where did the $200M go? Into Trump's pockets!) Trump declared the Chicago Tower to be worthless ($0) on his tax returns and claimed it as a tax deduction! He FAILED to declare the loan forgiveness as income and that matter is STILL in dispute with the IRS. In addition, Trump "parked" $50M of the forgiven debt in another Trump Org LLC and claimed it as ANOTHER $50M tax deduction ... revealed when the NYS courts ordered that Trump Org needed to monitored for its fraudulent practices. The monitor found the mystery unpaid $50M debt claimed by the LLC and tried to track down its origin and fate.
.
"Trump is not alone in using this tactic [bankruptcy] to keep his business going" - "Going"??????? Going down the toilet! Multiple Trump businesses DIED due to Trump mismanagement! To a close approximation ...
.
EVERYTHING TRUMP TOUCHES DIES.

Maybe I should give CDL the benefit of the doubt.  Maybe he was poking fun at durran421 for saying the election was a "landslide."  After all, CDL says people don't get his jokes.  Nah, CDL caught the stupid bug.

by the huge populations of CA and NY, so raw numbers for total votes don't mean much.  The "landslide" comes from Trump taking ALL seven swing states by bigger margins than Biden won SOME of them by in 2020, AND bigger margins than Trump had in 2016.  Because of lopsided populations in some states, total numbers nationally mean less than the numbers in the states that have flipped since the last election.

[sarcasm alert on]Let's see ... let's not count all voters ... let's sort the voting county-by-county or district-by-district. Then, if we only count the locations where Trump won by 10% or more -- wait, wait, make that -- only count the locations where Trump won by 20% or more, then that is PROOF that Trump won by a landslide margin of 60% to 40%. [sarcasm alert off]
.
More simply, "Only count the data that supports my preferred conclusion."
.
I hope I haven't misrepresented CDL's crooked methods of analysis and justification of ridiculous claims.
