Before forming an opinion, I'd like to hear the other side.  Maybe NPR will present it soon.  LOL.

If the city is getting State Money, then sure they can do it.

Any city should have the right to refuse state funds and therefore be exempt from this.

Basic premise many liberals do not understand, the person paying the bills makes the rules. Don't want to live by someone elses rules? PAY YOUR OWN WAY!!!

Guess you can include NJ in that category. There have been several school systems and town administrations taken over by the state in the past years. Camden, NJ, is a prime example. 80% of the people living in Camden are on some type  of public assistance. Not what I'd call in good shape yet, but better than it was 5 years ago when it was run by the democrats and unions. 45% of the Camden police force was laid off last month....their union would not consider concessions to enable those officers keep their jobs. Now crime is on the rise. Some parts of town the police won't even go to. A few state legislators have called for the NJANG to be put in place.

Any time I looked for a definition of fascism all I could find was that there was no clear definition.
