I did not see the results of the question asking those with incomes under $30,000 if they considered themselves poor.

I bet the answer is less than you would expect.

It's gotta be mentally painful being a low income Republican. You think the current economic system is unfair, that the government doesn't do enough for the poor, and yet you distrust the government to do anything about changing the circumstances.

We should have another war on poverty in the style of Lyndon B. Johnston.

We need to find a way to legislate common sense, ambition, hard work and financial knowledge to the poor, uneducated unwashed masses.

Then take a lot of money from the rich and throw it at the newly endowed common sense, ambition, hard work and financial knowledge unwashed masses.

The question was asked: "Why low income Republicans who think the economic system is unfair and the government doesn't do enough for the poor don't trust the government."

I think my answer was pretty clear.

The government can't. Smart, well educated, ambitious people who are will to work hand, invest, make good decision will always create an unfair playing ground.

In other words, "The poor dumb are cannon fodder for the rich."

Is that point clear.

Looks like a question to me. Am I'm missing something?

I saw a questions marks, hence there was a question.

If the Pew Research center survey asked no question how did the poor Republicans know to answer ?

 Surveys without questions ?

I did not ask a question, in my OP, nor did I see the question he remarked on, and had in quotes, in the Pew study. I suspect it's not a quote at all.

Yes, surveys have questions!

was not asked regarding if any one, being interviewed, identified with being poor. So, what's your point?
