Fucking ignorant buffoons! Right wing asswipes are all for freedom of speech, unless they disagree with what's being said!

Morgan seemed unfazed — and even amused — by the movement. Tens of thousands of people have signed a petition calling for British CNN host Piers Morgan to be deported from the U.S. over his gun control views.
Morgan has taken an aggressive stand for tighter U.S. gun laws in the wake of the Newtown, Connecticut, school shooting. Last week, he called a gun advocate appearing on his "Piers Morgan Tonight" show an "unbelievably stupid man."

Now, gun rights activists are fighting back. A petition created Dec. 21 on the White House e-petition website by a user in Texas accuses Morgan of engaging in a "hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution" by targeting the Second Amendment. It demands he be deported immediately for "exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens."
The petition has already hit the 25,000 signature threshold to get a White House response. By Monday, it had 31,813 signatures.

In a series of Twitter messages, he alternately urged his followers to sign the petition and in response to one article about the petition said "bring it on" as he appeared to track the petition's progress.

"If I do get deported from America for wanting fewer gun murders, are there any other countries that will have me?" he wrote.

When their clan ignores  freedom of speech and other rights , partisans
from either party  look the other way .
Has anyone noticed the many parallels  between Bush and President Obama ?
You're not the only one with the missing memo's ,  most Partisans ignore those facts .

You didn't complain when Britain banned Michael Savage from entry .  :-D

Hasan was an armed soldier, along with being a psychiatrist.

Who would prevent him from obtaining a gun, that is designed for military use?

And yet you totally missed the point.  That being, the NRA wants to put armed guards in schools so an armed assailant can be stopped.  There was an armed guard at Columbine.  And Ft. Hood -- being an army base and all -- was just chock full of legal assault weapons.  None of which stopped Hasan.  Do you get it now?  The point of the poster has absolutely nothing to do with the ability of a deranged person to get a gun.  Its point is only that even an armed guard, or an entire military base, can still be successfully attacked by a madman.  So putting armed guards in schools may not be such a great idea after all.  Got it?

With that being said. How would legislation banning assault weapons, successfully stop an attack by a mad man?

I have always said that legislation alone won't do the job.  We need to address the causes of the general violence in our society.  And we need to address the mental health issue.  And, yes, we also need to ban assault weapons, high-capacity clips, and require the same checks on gun show sales we have at gun stores.  So the answer is all of the above.  The poster makes a good point, IMO, but it's only a start.

I won't even stand in the way. We can address every aspect of violence in our culture. You can not stop it, violence is our culture. Say we get some form of AW legislation. How are we going to stop bootleg AW from overseas?

Never said we'd completely stop anything.  But doing nothing isn't a very good option either.  Are you really implying that if we can't "stop" violence than we should just do nothing?  I hope not.  But it seems to be one of the main arguments the right has.

We have a hard time convincing sane people to do the right thing.

How do we convince the insane to do the right thing? The insane are under the impression they are doing the right thing.

I say do nothing, I say this because no one has an answer. All I hear is we need to do something, this is a complex issue, we have to look at every aspect of violence in society. This is from the experts, they have no soloutions.

Not good enough.  First of all, you keep raising what to me are phoney issues.  Who said we should try to reason with insane people?  Nobody.  What we should do is see they get better treatment so their insanity doesn't lead to violence.  And we should tighten our laws so it's harder for them to get their  hands on guns.  If the Newtown nut's mother hadn't had a legal assault weapon with legal 30-round clips, he couldn't have used it to do so much damage.
To me, wanting to do nothing is irresponsible.

What are you talking about. Who's responsability should it be, to see that the mentally ill get help?

I'm convinced that the majority of people are mentally ill. I just said the medical professionals, don't have the answer.

If you think that was a tantrum, you are awfully sensitive.  Better not get too close.  As for your being a centrist, I have no idea what you are, except more than a little dense.  Here's a Christmas wish for you...

Dense??? I don't have a mental health soloution, you don't have a mental health soloution, the mental health community doesn't have a mental health soloution... I guess I am dense, when no one is saying anything.

First of all, what does the fact that I've been banned before have to do with anything?  You have no idea why I was banned and it had nothing to do with anything I posted on any board.  So once again you make foolish ass-umptions.  As for who has a "mental health solution," I know you don't.  But you don't know anything about what the mental health community might propose.  So, once again, you are left with your "just do nothing" approach.  Are you actually Wayne LaPierre?

I'm saying the Republicans are practicing.

David Axelrod Mr Axelrod is a former Chicago political journalist turned political strategist. He was the Obama campaign’s mastermind and currently serves as the President’s senior adviser. During the campaign he stressed the theme of change and harnessed the internet to help Barack Obama win the White House Picture:

I know all about Axelrod.  Glad to hear the Republitards are practicing.  They badly need to.  Their problem, however, is not that they don't understand social networks.  Their problem is they are on the wrong side of demographics and history.  They are Dodos.  And so are you.  Enjoy yourself on your trek to political extinction.

Well if the GOP Dodos are extinct, dosen't that translate into a more conservative candidate for the Democrats. Republican money will not go extinct, good luck passing liberal policy with a moderate Democrat... That is blatantly obvious.

If I have the right guaranteed by the second amendment and a foreign visitor starts raising arguments that my guns be taken away, is he not in fact asking people to commit a criminal act against the very rights granted by our most basic legal premises?

You say apples and oranges, and I say you are too one sided to see they are both oranges.
