Re: Remember

on the VERY long list of Trump outrages, this one is pretty far down.
Hey, maybe the Bidens' dogs will take a dump on them!

This dates back to Lyndon Johnson, & it's been an ongoing tradition for each sitting president's children & grandchildren since then.   If it were something new that they decided to do on their own, with no other purpose than to glorify themselves, then I would object.

When I first saw the link description, I thought the kids might have spread finger paint or scribbled crayons on a wall or staircase.  Then I thought, "No, that would be Stump himself."

Trump removed the portraits of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush from the Grand Foyer where he would have to see them every day.  He had them put in a storage room. He replaced them with portraits of William McKinley and Teddy Roosevelt.

Removing the handprints of predecessors' grandchildren is the sort of thing that Trump would do.

Hunter and his stripper girlfriend had a grandchild, but on the campaign trail, Joe didn’t seem to acknowledge that when he touted his six grandchildren (Hunter’s latest is Biden’s 7th).

The progressive thing to do would be to allow the stripper’s kid to get a plaque, but would it be the politically expedient thing to do?

No, little Navy Biden doesn’t get a plague at the White House yet, but at least Joe Biden finally acknowledges that she exists.

Quoting CNN:

CNN: Biden is finally acknowledging his seventh grandchild — more than four years after she was born — because Hunter has now "largely resolved a protracted and bitter court proceeding over child support."
The rest of the story:
That’s actually not true. Court proceedings were only reopened last September by Hunter seeking to reduce child support payments. Everything was settled in March 2020, after Lunden Roberts established paternity via DNA. Ample opportunity in those 2.5 YEARS for Joe to have acknowledged his grandchild.

That your party has nothing to offer so you can share.

It’s current news and I could have just started a new thread. But this thread only highlights the years since paternity was established that it took for the Big Guy to acknowledge his granddaughter.
