Interestingly (or not), Lee Zeldin, Trump's EPA Administrator who tried (unsuccessfully) to block the funding was found to have claimed two homes as PRIMARY on two different mortgages. Trump claims that such practices are illegal and that those who do it should be prosecuted for FRAUD. According to Trump, Lee Zeldin = FRAUD.

the sensational personal stuff. The reason is simple. There is an APPEARANCE of impropriety with the contract he awarded for the advertising campaign to persuade illegals to voluntarily deport. The contract was for $220,000,000, and awarded without sufficient other bidders to a brand-new company that was formed just 11 days before the contract was awarded. A relative of hers was involved.
Granted, this is kind of shit Dems do all of the time, but Trump is not going to allow any of this shit going on with people he has trusted to do a job. Stacy Abrams brand new company got 4 billion from Biden for a climate-change startup as he was walking out the door of the White house. Fortunately, DOGE got some of it back, but this is the difference in tolerance for fraud and corruption between Dems and Repubs.
