It is a backlash of the NAACP going after the TEA Party and she got caught up in it as Breitbart was looking for evidence of the NAACP using racism.

of her "racist" remark, the so called "interview" by Hannity of the guy who posted the story on his web site, and even Bill O'Reilly's acceptance of the false story without checking it?

Do you think Rachel Maddow is correct when she opines that Fox is promoting an agenda of "the black man is coming to get you" with its breathless coverage of the criminal activities of Acorn, the threat posed by that "convicted felon" Van Jones, the endless video of that one idiot with stick in front of the polling place, and the rush to judgment on Ms. Sherrod?

Fox News did not fire Sherrod  and tell her to pull her car over because she was going to be on Glenn Beck and text her resignation  :)and it is funny the NAACP had the full tape and quickly  jumped to discard the poor lady .

Or the fact that Glenn Beck reported the ENTIRE affair correctly from the start? Beck talked about the need to put it into context from the very beginning. Yet the lady blamed him for being fired.

O'Reilly corrected the record up front tonight.

Breitbart, the "guy" who originally posted the video has not been heard from since the context was revealed. Which by the way was available to the NAALCP since THEY are the ones who originally owned the video. Whoever sent the video to Breitbart got it from the NAALCP. It's not clear WHO did the edit job, Breibart or his as yet unnamed source. If Breitbart was duped, he should name his source.

You didn't mention that both Obama and the NAALCP threw this lady under the bus BEFORE any of it aired on the aforementioned FOX, yet they blame FOX for their actions, LOL.

You didn't mention that this GA USDA director DID make racist slurs in the "in contest" speech AND made political comments that most likely were illegal for a Government employee to make when acting in her official capacity as she seemingly was.

You didn't mention that P's article was lame reporting.

Maddow? She's hardly ever correct and still isn't here. Nor are you in your other examples (or were those hers). And let me remind you once again; it was Obama and the NAALCP that were the biggest "rushers" here.

the firing without doing due diligence - the blameworthiness of their conduct is pretty obvious, isn't it?

I'm just curious as to what you thought of Fox's coverage of the whole event. Hannity had Brietbardt on for an "interview" last night but somehow failed to ask him if the speech was indeed years earlier or to confirm or deny the clip was taken out of context.

Of course, Ann Coulter tonight says Breitbardt was set up.... (Sign) If only Alan Coombs had not been dumped so we could at least get some honest questions asked on that show.

But I take it you don't see a pattern in the coverage of those 4 separate events by Fox as Ms. Maddow pointed out?

ed2000 31 Reviews 1047 reads

The pattern I see is those not FOX refusing to cover stories certain to harm their messiah.

Acorn was real. Jones deserved to go (although he's still an unpaid adviser) and the Black Panther voter intimidation story was real.

BTW, the speech was NOT old, it was 4 months ago, she worked in the USDA during the speech. The story IN the speech was about an event in her life years ago (24 I think)

How could anyone confirm or deny any context that was not available yet?

Why are you getting so many facts wrong lately? It's not like you.

BTW, Colmes is on O'Reilly quite regularly and he's been losing it (his sanity it seems). Now that he's a guest, he's as much a blatant hack if not more so than is Hannity.

that was many years ago but the tip off as to the context was the statement that Chapter 12 for farm bankruptcies had recently been enacted.

Since that happened in the 1980s, that would have been pretty easy to check, wouldn't it?

BTW, what other facts have I been getting wrong lately?  I hate to think that you are suffering in silence.

Chapter 12 statement? Yea, a rookie mistake, LOL. Really? Maybe Hannity will give you a job as his Director of Legal Research.

Mistaking facts, leaving out facts, all the same. My last two longer responses enumerated several facts "left out".

I agree with his stated goal of teaching the NAALCP a lesson in these most recent race wars. A war that the NAALCP ratcheted up themselves by wrongfully accusing the Tea Party movement of being racists.

Remember, he's the one that has offered $100K to anyone that can prove racial slurs were uttered (as stated by a black member of the House) on the Capital steps the day health care passed.

Anything possible to use racism they will, look at jesse jackson with lebron james saga, just to get his name on news, Obama has accomplished more than Jesse Jackson ever will. I am not an Obama backer but Jackson must resent notoriety Obama has acheived in such a short period of time, maybe because he doesnt make everyhing a racism issue, something that jackson only does. And we all know about Jesse jaCKSON jr, in chicago!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all things he accomplished, not.

is the white Ga farmer & his wife who Sherrod helped out. They were interviewed on various outlets; they both  ( were they interviewed on Fox ?--someone enlighten me on this )claimed that Sherrod was a great help to them for securing their farm & was not racist to them at all.

Sherrod's "edited" NAACP speech, which aired on Fox, was taken out of context, because in the full speech, she openly talked about overcoming her antipathy toward whites by helping the Ga. couple with their farm.

Why did she harbor negative feeling toward whites
a long 24 years ago ? As a child, her father was murdered by 2 whites who were never charged with the crime.

Somehow, the context of all this was lost on Breitbart/Fox News.

I know a white guy who's Dad was murdered by a Black man 30 years ago..He blames all black men including those not yet born.I've never been to  his home, but I  imagine his friends laugh at his racist talk, just like Sherrods NAACP friends laughed at hers.

You find fault over a Hannity not properly vetting the video and should have noticed the inconsistency.

Were you on the case of the ENTIRE media when they reported on the NAALCP's official statement accusing the Tea Party movement with racism when ZERO evidence was put forward to substantiate the assertion?

How many false statements have been made (even by Obama) accusing the right improperly that go totally unchallenged or unquestioned by the MSM?

Or is there only one column on your scoreboard?

...when you have two political parties. One party is a group of spineless dipshits and the other party endlessly pisses themselves with irrational anger.

Things have gotten so bad that conservative commentators are now offering money for anyone to punch liberal Congressmen in the face.

Even children know that the only way to stop bullying is to stand up to them. But the fascist-lite Democrats are too chickenshit even to do that.

You will notice I have never posted on any of Priapus's tea party posts, unless I was just ragging him in general.

But Fox News' coverage of racial issues does interest me and I agree with Rachel Maddow that their coverage of the 4 issues I listed paints a pretty compelling case for the pattern she discerned but somehow escaped you, Ed.

''She said Fox showed no professionalism in continuing to bother her for an interview, but failing to correct their coverage.

"I think they should but they won't. They intended exactly what they did. They were looking for the result they got yesterday," she said of Fox. "I am just a pawn. I was just here. They are after a bigger thing, they would love to take us back to where we were many years ago. Back to where black people were looking down, not looking white folks in the face, not being able to compete for a job out there and not be a whole person
Still, Fox continued to push for an interview with her, Sherrod said

"It was unbelievable. I am refusing to be on there. They have been calling me and calling me. I have refused to do an interview because they are biased," she explained. "I don't think Fox News does it fairly. It is worse so now. I have sat and listened to the way they cover the news even before this administration and I saw what was going on."

I bet Sherrod loved Kethie 's special comment last nite :) The poor lady was swept up in the wash of the NAACP going after the TEA Party and Breitbart looking for racism in the NAACP but FOX News did not fire Sherrod and tell her to pull her car over because she was going to be on Glenn Beck and text her resignation before she appeared on FOX  and it is funny the NAACP had the full tape and quickly jumped to discard the poor lady . Sorry I laughed at the part where Glenn Beck has so much power :)

I would have seen the Hannity interview ,but I avoid watching a "news network" that caters to the LCD ( lowest common denominator ) & is a "shill" for the extreme right wing faction of the GOP.

Now take it easy & treat yourself to a cookie----

" I told you she was wrong and I gave you reasons WHY."

I believe you said "Maddow? She's hardly ever correct and still isn't here."

Merely bc you considered the examples to have some legitimate news value hardly addressed her point that the presentation of these stories did not warrant the repeated coverage given by Fox, or the coincidence that they were highlighting 4 stories suggesting that blacks were coming after the white man.

But you are right in part- whatever your reasons were, they definitely escaped me.

And btw I always treat Phil well - it's just his arguments that I have to spank.

could it be because your beloved "Faux News" tried to "railroad" an innocent woman with doctored evidence ? This is as bad as the CBS/Dan
Rather debacle where he tried to pillory GWB with fake evidence that he didn't "do his time" in the Natl. guard. I thought that was an outrage, thought Rather should be fired & said so on another blog at the time. Sure you spoke out against it also. So why aren't you speaking out in the same fashion against the similar
Breitbart/Hannity "hatchet job" ?
