Whoops! The Utah - Mormon - porn - hypocrisy info has definitely come up in General before.

I probably should have left out specific party names and just said something about sex-related hypocrisy in general.

A woman called the cops to complain about her neighbor prancing around naked without closing the drapes and creating an offensive display. The cop arrived, entered the lady's house, looked out her windows, and asked the lady,  
Cop: You're pretty isolated out here. Which house?
Lady: My closest neighbor's house, over there.
Cop: But lady, that house is at least 1/4 mile away. I can't see a thing in the windows.
Lady: Well that's because you're not using these binoculars!

I really wasn't hoping to start a political debate with this post. I get enough political BS in everyday life and everytime I turn the TV on or any news website. Last thing I want is to read politics in this forum.  
   
 I was more curious about the sex videos, not the political implications, or who ousted her, or which party members watch more porn.
I don't watch those pay-for-view porn sites but anyone who is not familiar with the general news coverage of the unauthorized use of posted (or streamed) images is pathetically unaware of the real world.

There are bad guys who use their camera phones to document their own crime sprees and then post the videos to the web and they wonder how the police caught them and got them convicted. Doh!

Have folks watched her home made sex videos?

She def has alternative career options if the nurse thing nor the house of delegates election work out!

Curious if others have done what she and her husband did and how common it is. They seem like a very "normal" couple....nurse, UVA, attorney, two kids, etc.  

Would have never pegged them for sex exhibitionist or getting paid online for kinky requests.

First, a general comment about those streaming sites: Several years ago, I could connect via VPN and see the free stuff and I had no idea if it was live or taped. (Nowadays, I can't connect to OF, etc., using VPN.) I seem to recall token counters that I ASSUMED were fake in order to get viewers or voyeurs to chip in the last few tokens to get to the next stage. "70 ... 80 ... 90 ... only 10 more tokens and I'll take off my socks!"

Second, I have no problems with the Gibsons showing off their wares and collecting tokens in return, assuming they are obeying the law. It seems that they were obeying the law but might have been violating the website's house rules. The Gibsons are planning to seek criminal charges for violation of VA's revenge porn laws. There are precedents to their case.  I wonder if the lawsuit will seek subscription or payment records that will show that most of their VA viewers were righty Republicans. (Utah, which is more than 50% Mormon, has one of the highest rates of porn consumption.

Third, ANYBODY WHO THINKS THAT THERE IS ANY PRIVACY WHEN POSTING ANY PICS ONLINE, nude or not, IS TOO STUPID TO BE A PUBLIC SERVANT. The law and legal precedents might be on their side but that's all AFTER the fact and does not stop anyone from breaking the law and spreading the pics illegally in the first place. Have they never heard of leaked sex tapes? Pamela Anderson, et al.?

A reminder about a case in NYC during COVID. A female EMS worker was not getting enough hours to pay her bills. She started an OF account to make ends meet. SHE WAS OUTED BY self-righteous Righties. There was public support for the EMS worker and criticism of the Righty hypocrites.

I haven't seen her videos, stills, or campaign photos other than the WaPo articles.

I think revenge porn law is going to have tough sailing in a distributed porn for sale case.  I mean any copyright porn case could also try to add this infraction.

Might have more luck as a civil copyright or contract breach case against the original leakers if the could be identified.

News orgs showing snippets would probably be protected under 1rst amendment umbrella for reporting on things generally in the public interest. Whether someone's porn past is in the public interest is something many might disagree on, but it's highly unlikely the courts are going to attempt to define in law what topics are in the public interest.
