Joe the Plumber is a FUCKING METAPHOR.

Yea, yea, there is this guy named Joe that BHO talked to. Oops the media discovered his REAL name isn’t Joe. It’s Samuel Joseph. OH MY FUCKING GOD, PLEASE SAVE US from Joe the ‘Plant’.

It doesn’t matter whether Joe is real or not. It was BHO’s response to ‘Joe’ that mattered (i.e. we’re gonna spread the wealth around). It was BHO’s campaign reaction that’s important. It’s the media’s desire to destroy Samuel Joseph that is significant.

Think for a moment. The MSM has spent more time and effort vetting ‘JOE’ in the recent days than they’ve done trying to figure out who BHO is in the last 2 YEARS.

Joe the Plumber is a God Damn METAPHOR. Attacking the real Joe is a total mistake and it also looks very silly.

I think you're confused. You mean maybe Joe the Plumber is an example of all the various Joes and Janes out there.

Once the press (and bloggers) get curious, you don't know what could happen. It's not a bit worse than conservatives, who have been know to LOOK THROUGH PEOPLE'S TRASH looking for dirt to discredit enemy "metaphors." Do you remember that? Obviously not.

When Sam or Joe asked his question, he was apparently asking on behalf of people like GaGambler, not for himself personally, though that's what he said. He might have asked the question without involving himself, like "What would happen to an employee at a business who . . . " Once he made it his personal hardship, the press of course is going to see how true it is.

As for your contention that the MSM has spent more time on Joe than figuring out Obama, they've been there. They just aren't bringing it up as many times as you'd like-- which is hourly.

I'll give you Nixon, but let's keep it current. Tell me what what person on par with 'Joe' or otherwise has been gone after like this.

Actually, you and the others here that joked about it are no better than what the press has been doing to Joe.

As soon as BHO answered Joe's question with "We only want to spread the wealth around", it ceased being about just ONE person. It should have then been about the answer. But neither you nor the press wants to talk about THAT. Divert everyone by smearing the questioner? Give me a break! It doesn't matter if the stuff they dug up is even true or not. It’s TOTALY irrelevant.

I even heard today that he was called fantasizing about owning a business. To aspire to become a business is now a FANTASY? Good Grief.

MSM spending equal time investigating BHO? Take the Ayers stuff. Do you REALLY think there was an NBC TV Van outside Ayer's house for a week like there is outside Joe's house right now? You totally suck at lying.

Like I said earlier the ‘Free’ Press is dead.

With Michelle Malkin snooping around the Frost's house and business? Conservatives certainly did a job on that "metaphor."

And I probably would have posted about it here, but I thought the same thing you did: that it was irrelevant. What was wrong with those stupid, lapsed, conservatives?

Graeme Frost? OK I looked him up. No where near the same situation, but I’ll give you some due and say you have a point. Bottom line in Frost’s case is that your BEST statement of fact has got to be that the Free Republic and Michelle Malkin etal. are on par and equal footing with NBC, CNN, CBC ABC and The View, LOL. So, are you elevating the right wing media or are you now downgrading the Main Stream Media?

My point. . . they deserve to be DOWNGRADED.

Aside from that issue, my second retort is the obvious. Graeme Frost was recruited by the Dems to participate in one of their radio messages. Joe just asked a question. Yes McCain has picked up on it, but the focus has been on BHO response.

Lastly, the ‘attacks’ on Frost were to detract from Frost’s message. The ‘attacks’ on Joe have been to detract from BHO RESPONSE to Joe’s question.

So, after comparing:
The magnitude of the attacks. MSM vs. Michelle
The Direction of the attacks
The Purpose of the attacks

It’s not even close.

You just use the word wrong. "Joe the Plumber" is an example, fact or fiction, he's an example. A metaphor would be: "A larger onion only has so many layers," or "You can't squeeze juice out of a bigger pear." In which case, the onion and the pear respectively refer to the wealthy, layers and juice represent available tax revenue.

So, let's discuss the issue.

Ninety-five percent of the population gets a tax cut or a tax credit. Five percent will have their taxes raised.

And you don't like it. What do you wish to discuss about that? What are you going to tell me that you presume I don't know?

We're in a huge deficit situation, due to conservatives. Obama says he will cut and reduced programs by reviewing each of them, something I wish every President since Carter had done. At the same time, revenues must be raised.

So, if you had to raise government revenues, wouldn't you tax people who, like, had money?

Second question raised by conservatives: is capitalism so well calibrated that we know for sure somebody who makes over $250 thousand  deserves all of it? How do we know the market isn't, say, inaccurate at the high end?

As for parking out in front of Ayers house, there's nothing new about him. They can park there, but how long before that becomes dull? He made bombs-- forty years ago. So, "Bill have you made another one, lately?" or "Will you please make another one, our ratings are flat-lining." Or they could ask: "Is it true that Obama's political career began in your living room." After the answer ("No") conservatives can spend a few days calling him a liar.

SamJoe is someone new, and like it or not, people do get interested. Like I was fascinated by the trivia of learning how different the guy was from his question. The interesting thing is, there were other questioners, and some who might have been tough, but the press didn't follow up on any of them. Why is that?

Because he wasn't fantasizing, (now THAT is a euphemism) he was fucking lying. You could say he had a pertinent lie, but he lied because he wanted Obama to actually look somebody who was going to have their taxes increased right in the eye and answer the question. Obama didn't back down or hedge about it. He didn't get any credit for that from conservatives, somehow. You might say Sam-Joe's white lie served a public interest, but the lie alone also made him notable.

You've said this taxation might reduce jobs. To the contrary. People higher up in the tax bracket for whom the tax hike is less significant will see opportunity in those niches and will found their own businesses-- with better capitalization, I will add. They will probably be giving a lot of Joe's $249,000 salaries, probably what they deserve.

dicussing it is difficult.

Of course Joe the person is not a metaphor. His situation with BH(let's spread the wealth around)O has become a metaphor for most everything that is wrong with BHO's tax and wealth redistibution policy.

BTW, the parking in front of Ayer's house shouldn't have been taken literally. the lack of buses in front of his house was . . . you know, one of those metaphors.

1. A plant (verb)

2. A ringer

3. A shill

4. False witness

Joe was brought up by McSAME and not Obama.

McSAME kept on bringing up Joe.

Joe isn't even a plummer.

Now that's the biggest irony.
