Republicans circle the wagons better than we do. They just do. Many of them hate Trump but they will sell their soul to the devil to make sure he wins. It is amazing how many things Rs will be hypocritical about, that Trump has brought out in them but they just dont care.

That aside, the Dems have a bad brand right now. Its needs a youthful, common sense, pro-middle class voice to rally around. Politics can change quickly though, so we'll see how the midterms go.

If the Dems hitch their wagons to kooky crackpots like AOC and Crockett then they're toast!! And so far--all I see them doing is doubling down on the same fringy, far left crap that was instrumental in their 2024 defeat. They simply don't seem to get the message--or more accurately don't WANT to!!

The betting markets have AOC and Newsom tied for most likely to be the nominee.

That's especially ludicrous re AOC who doesn't have a base except in the Bronx, let alone a chance in hell. Also, I've never heard her express any interest except there have been rumors she'd like to challenge Schumer (which may be true).
As for Newsome, I'm sure he'd LOVE to be the nominee and he's tacking to the center to do it.
I doubt it will work. He's got way too much left-wing baggage to make such a transformation credible.

The moment Laura Trump suggested Biden was suffering from cognitive decline, Tapper freaked the fuck out and said Laura was "mocking Biden for his stutter".  

Can you imagine being dumb enough to actually say.... I was shocked at his mental decline.
