Just think if Monsewer SKerry or the wooden dummy Egore had become President instead of Bush,Alito or Roberts sure wouldn't be on the Supreme Court and America would have lost its second amendment today....

Twelve + years ago the left wing threat to the Second Amendment was omnipresent. By year 2000 both Houses were chock-o-block full of right wingers along with a right winged Prez.
Just as nature abhors a vacuum so too does democracy abhor imbalance. The 2000 right wing imbalance has been moving toward a equilibrium of late; but an important and not easily changed side effect of the period of imbalance has serendipitously secured one of our most tangibly important freedoms for decades to come.    

yeah, we went from George Washington to George W. Bush to get a 5-4 decision, from a Court outflamked on the Right only by the "9 Old Men" of the 1920s and 1930s.  great progress indeed.
