I've been buying and selling online for 30 years. Before craigslist I used usenet. Anyways I've noticed certain sellers likely lean politically a certain way based on how they conduct themselves. Those that are suspicious  and insist on meeting at "police stations" are likely republicans. Those sellers who are fine with meeting at their home are democrats. In other words sellers who are bad at judging characters are right leaning. Those good at judging people are left leaning.

You get into politics with them during the transaction?

I never verify since I don't buy from right leaning people often. And when I do I wouldn't bring it up. I have just noticed that right leaning people tend to think a certain way shared by how some sellers operate.

If you don't somehow verify that they are right or left, how can you then determine "that right leaning people tend to think a certain way?" How would you know they are right leaning?

Buyers/sellers stipulating meetings at police stations or other public places are being more cautious. Are you saying conservatives seem to be more cautious than liberals?

It's just a hunch you have that the more cautious ones are conservative. I have never been able to determine that in life but I guess you could be right.

Not only cautious but they are usually also stubborn, inflexible, delusional on price, my way or highway attitude etc..

Sounds like you’re describing a cohort that usually votes for Democrats…

But I guess your theory is possible , although your evidence is slight and anecdotal.

Doesn't seem that odd to me. How about white people driving american cars with pro Police/firefighters/Military bumper stickers? Is it "odd" to say they are likely right leaning?

When it comes to buying or selling on a marketplace scenario,  I don't care what side of the isle you sit on. If you have something I want to buy, or vise versa. Let's make a deal!
No political anything ever in, buying,  selling or business. Period.

If you believe that "stubborn, inflexible, delusional on price, my way or highway attitude" comes in one affiliation,  you are way off. I mean WAY off.

Do your browse your local ads? A lot of the stuff is overpriced from people not interested in "making a deal".. Waiting for the "greater fool".. If they don't seell  it in years they will throw it in the garbage so that nobody can get it for free.

You haven’t made a case that a conservative is more cautious. The things you mention, and in my experiences, don’t point to someone being right or left. Being cautious isn’t a sign of political affiliation to me. That is more based on lived experiences. If someone got assaulted, or had a loved one assaulted, that may lead them to be more cautious but that would have nothing to do with their political stripe.

In case his misspelling "isle" instead of "aisle," didn't clue you in, but you're now talking to arguably the dumbest person on this board. He has been voted "Most likely to take a branch to the edge of the page" and "Stupidest Poster Of All Time." The only way to shut him up is to stop talking to him and give him the last word. It makes him feel like he won so he just shuts up. Watch me.

As far as I can tell, you consider yourself of good character and therefore anyone who deals with you is therefore confirmed to be a good judge if character. Wouldn't we have to know more of their trading history to see if they've had an above average number of favorable experiences to validate their character assessments.

I was talk texting while running some errands. I suppose my talk text picked up the wrong version of aisle while replying.
But in true form, the spelling police showed up because he has no other life outside a fuk board.

And just fyi, even the spelling police fuck up a word or 2. Mine was at least via voice to text. Here our very own board liar "trying" to form a meme that said "bag" of hammers except he misspelled his 3 letter word and instead spelled "bad" of hammers. And he actually had to type that.

Try again TATL. Or do I need to keep embarrassing you.

"Those that are suspicious  and insist on meeting at "police stations" are likely republicans."

Or maybe they have other reasons not to meet up at their home. They have  a cranky room mate. They own a large dog. Their place is a mess. They're renovating the kitchen. They had a bad experience before. The reasons are endless.

"Those sellers who are fine with meeting at their home are democrats."

I bought a used jointer off Facebook once, and the dude was terrified about meeting me at his home. He had signs in his yard for Biden and had a sling shot sitting on his trash can. I guess he was worried I'm might whup his ass before hauling off a 200 pound joint by my lonesome. Glad I didn't tell him I had multiple firearms in the truck.

"In other words sellers who are bad at judging characters are right leaning."

A conclusion you've made based on nothing. Over all, I'd say right leaning people are far more aware of crime rates than left leaning people are. Left leaning people are blissfully unaware of everything related to crime, self-defense, fire arms, etc.

"Those good at judging people are left leaning."

Zero evidence demonstrates this. In fact, the much more logical conclusion is that left leaning people are far more gullible than right leaning people.

Yes right leaning people are more aware of crime rates. But they are less aware at reading all the social queues to determine if someone if a threat. Right-leaning people will focus on one dimension like race to negate an entire group.

And for sure there are exceptions to the rule . I am not saying ALL, but most..

“But they are less aware at reading all the social queues to determine if someone if a threat.”

Self defense training covers this extensively. Leftists are far more likely to anti-social, on the spectrum, and poorly adept at reading any social queues at all, much less ones that would indicate someone is a threat.

“Right-leaning people will focus on one dimension like race to negate an entire group”

Left leaning people will ignore race in determining the likelihood that someone is a threat because it makes them feel guilty. Black people make up about 13% of the population. What percentage of homicides would you guess they commit?

First time I am hearing that "self defence training" can teach you all you need to know about assessing people. How does watching  fictional characters exploiting stereotypes teach you anything? How does that replace decades of experience dealing with thousands of REAL people? Do you  have a link to such training video on youtube? I am sure the comments will be hilarious.

You’ll be amazed what you can learn just by studying body language. It’s like low resolution telepathy. If you study psychology you can refine this further. It’s a fun mental exercise. I’ve gotten to the point where I can sometimes predict another person’s thoughts before they think it.

Perhaps the best introduction to self defense is to just watch security camera footage. Watch how crimes happen. How fast they happen. How many seconds pass between nothing happens to someone gets killed or injured. Note who commits these crimes. Note who is the victim. Watch hundreds of those videos and you’ll notice a few patterns.
