I wasn't attacking Carter.. I was merely showing what little mind he had is now gone..In other words he is not a reputable source ..
I certainly don't  think the media should have posted his Utube gaffe, because it was a gaffe..I did laugh thinking how much it would have been published if from Bush or Cheney or Rush...etc..

I'm certainly no democrat/liberal, but give the guy a break...he may have not been "politically correct," (which begs the question, would you have even mentioned this if he had said 'african american' instead) but that doesn't make him a racist.

how does not being politically correct prove one is losing their mind or make them a non-reputable "source?"

I have friends who are quite smart and would be highly reliable sources for a number of things, but they too are sometimes not politically correct.

As far as the clip itself goes though, I don't even know if I would call it a gaffe...calling him the n word, now that would be a gaffe lol.

Taken out of context, CARTER CALLED OBAMA A BLACK BOY! sure does sound reprehensible, doesn't it.

But taken in context, there's nothing wrong with it at all.

And please bear in mind, I despise Jimmy Carter for all the many obvious reasons.

But this one... feh.

I am absolutely sure Carter wasn't being racist whatsoever with his description..  Carter meant no harm..The fact he paused before he said boy makes me think he was struggling for a word and used the one he remembered from "his" childhood which "was" politically correct at that particularly strange time..
How many people in the Media would let it slide if Bush or Cheney or Rush had said the same thing. If Rush had said the same instead of young man, or child growing up, all hell would be breaking out to "off with his head".. Case dismissed...

there is a double standard, but throwing Jimmy Carter under the bus for his rather innocuous statement just shows that the right can be just a hypocritical as the left.

I agree with Doc, there are many reasons to despise Ex President Carter, IMHO he has been just as bad an Ex POTUS as he was a POTUS. This just isn't one of those reasons.
