He was still complaining about it and has been required to lodge a response by 5 p.m. today. THAT'S what I was talking about.

Trump lawyers denied extension for responding to DOJ's protective order .

1. Prosecution (P) wants to give Defense (D) all of their materials ASAP. That requires a Protective Order to be in place before disclosure.
2. On Friday, Prosecution requested a PROTECTIVE ORDER almost identical to the protective order that was approved by the P and D attorneys and Judge Cannon in the Mar-A-Lago case.  
3. Judge Chutkan gave D until Mon 5 PM to respond to / comment on P's request.  
4. D spent Saturday writing up a request for an extension to file until Thursday.
5. Chutkan denied D's request and holds them to the 5 PM M deadline. THAT is what Judge C "ruled against," D's motion for extension (delay).

By their filing, D claimed that they need all of Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thurs to respond to P's Protective Order and to submit their response on Thurs. Having been denied, D must now squeeze 6 days of work (billable hours; Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs) into just 3 days (Sat, Sun, Mon)!!! Instead of actually working on their reply to P's Protective Order, THEY ARE MAKING THE ROUNDS ON ALL THE TALK SHOWS and NOT working on the reply that they claimed they need 6 days of work to complete. I.e., get OFF the talk shows and get on your computers and prepare your response!!! Either that, or it really doesn't take 6 days to respond to a routine (almost identical to the Mar-A-Lago) protective order. (They'll probably overbill Trump's PAC -- and the MAGA who donate to it -- anyway.)

We'll see if the Defense makes their 5 PM deadline today (Mon) or if they will spend their day complaining on Fox and OAN.

So let me dumb it down for him:
1) You complain you need more time.
2) The judge says "no."
3) So instead of getting right to work you piss away hours on Sunday talk shows.

a lawyer, he hires lawyers to do the grunt work just like I do.  When they finish, I read it, and if I don't like it, I tell them why and send them back to work.  They charge by the hour, so they don't care how many times they have to redo it to make me happy and I'm sure Trump's lawyers are no different.  If he had played golf instead of being on political shows, would you still be whining about this?

if I'm involved in a litigation.  The courts are only open Monday through Friday.  If the Judge isn't working on Sunday, why should I?  That's what you hire attorneys for.  They can work all weekend at $500 an hour and present you with the results on Monday morning before they file it with the court.  I get that whining is YOUR thing, but he's not a public employee now like Biden is, so you have no standing to ask that he do anything on Sunday other than what HE wants to do.  

Neither do any of the other Chick-fil-A employees, lol.

Lauro WAS working on Sunday, doing the talk show circuit (no doubt billing the Trump PAC and Trump's MAGA donors for his time). THAT is the point. He complained to the Court about not having enough time to prepare a response to the DoJ Protective Order request. ... Well, he DID have enough time and submitted his redlined edits before the Mon 5 PM deadline.
