Farrakahn loves him (but not the Jews).

It has been verified that he is social with an ex 60s terrorist who bombed government buildings and to this day feels he didn't go far enough.

I've seen the videotape of the pastor of his church accusing the government of creating AIDS to kill the Black Man and "The chickens came back to roost" comment after 9/11. Obama said they were taken out of context.  He didn't outright reject the statements.

Here's the thing:  I consider myself a somewhat patriotic guy so I would go out of my way to avoid being social with a neighbor that bombed buildings and advocated the overthrowing of the US Government.  I would not attend a church with a pastor that screams hate speech about our country.

Who is this guy??!!  What does he believe in?  Does he happen to surround himself with people who hate this country, but he loves it?  Does that make any sense?  Why do so many Democratic candidates have these same problems? Why do they get offended when their patriotism is questioned?

OK, pollyanna time ;  maybe, just maybe, Obama and other godless, America-hating Dem political scum are willing to defend to the death the right of invincibly ignorant assholes to say immensely hateful and wrong things?  Andhope that the rest of us are mature enough to understand he's defending the abstract right of someone to hold a fucked-up opinion and not the opinion itself?

Obama has on several times clearly said he neither agrees with nor supports those POVs held by his friendly neighborhood spiritual leader.  Should Obama attempt tp brand the minister an apostate or a heretic?  Or maybe Obama should schism himself out of that church?

[Thanks for postinmg - 24 hours w/o a new contribution from anyone in this forum?]

He isn't defending anything.  He's immersed in it.  My question is why does he associate with them?  Are there no other churches in his hometown that don't cheer on 9/11?  Isn't there a way to avoid chatting with admitted, left wing terrorists?

He doesn't have to "brand them", but maybe he shouldn't be sending them Christmas cards either.

Obama doesn't agree with his preacher on anything? It's far more that simple association.

Obama's been going to see this guy EVERY Sunday for TWENTY YEARS.

This guy performed Obama's marriage ceremony.

This guy baptised Obama's children.

Obama should have quit this church long ago.

Don't you remember he Dems outrage when Bush simply spoke at Bob Jones University?

This isn't about guilt by association. This is about Obama's judgement and character. When Farrahkan endorsed Obama, and Obama rejected his endorsement, I accepted that. It wasn an endorsement he neither sought nor welcomed. He shouldn't be blamed for being supported by a man who can't open his mouth without spewing hate.

But Jeremiah Wright is different. Obama has a twenty year - TWO FULL DECADES - history with him. You cannot possibly ask me to believe that Obama could be associated with him over such a long period without his being aware of Wright's anti-whites and anti-American opinions. Depsite that though, he chose to continue being a member of his church. That tells me alot about what Obama considers to be acceptable.

Furthermore, I honestly cannot help but question Obama's intelligence. I cannot FATHOM how it never ocurred to him that eventually his association with Wright, and Wright's hate speech would be noticed by someone. I cannot fathom why it never ocurred to him that if he is going to step into the national spotlight, an association like this would destroy his political career. And make no mistake, that is exactly what is about to happen. Obama should have put miles between himself and Wright years ago. An association that ended years ago surfacing now wouldn't be a mortal wound to his political career. A 20 year association that culminates in Wright's retirement from the church in order to accept a position on his campaign is going to put an end to Obama's chances of ever being elected to anything higher than dog catcher.

And if you have any doubts about the effects this is going to have, up until tonight, I have been waiting to see who McCain would select as VP before deciding how I would vote. Being highly disenchanted with GOP these days, if McCain chose the wrong running mate, I was fully prepared to vote for Obama instead. After the revelations of Wright's vile, disgusting, and inexcusable statements, I wouldn't vote for Obama at gunpoint. There is simply no way I could trust his judgement (its what he is running on since he has no experience to talk about), nor would I trust those he chooses to surround himself with in his administration.

So like it or not, come November, McCain is going to be my guy, regardless of who he seleces as his running mate (please dear God don't let it be Huckabee). I wish to God I had a better choice, but there is no doubt in my mind that Obama is not fit to be president, nor indeed, worthy of being trusted in any form.

Obama is toast . This ain't gonna go away and the press will dig deeper. The 527 group can have Frakahan ,his wife saying she is just now proud of US , Obama without his hand on heart ,and his racist pastor. Roll it over and over in a loop !
His new pastor said on Anderson Cooper 360 that it is was bad Wright was summarized for his career as a pastor  for only a 30 sec.  statement.
Now ,The ''Magic Negro'' has to aplogize for what his new preacher , Edwin Moss said that was stupid .
I will die laughing if Camp Clinton find a video of Obama smiling in the pew after hearing one of Wright's racist rants but Obama ain't that dumb ,or is he :)

Oh Mac will pick Romney .

Why?  I was in the military at the end of the Viet Nam war...  we dimantled... and then the world got Edgy!  and we were ill equipped to handle what came... (actually still are).  But both of these dudes have made statements that they will "police the world"  to make it safe for democracy and yada yada yada...

Clinton has no such illusions...  If anything she is more isolationist that McCain and Obama...  and I cannot help but think that might not be so bad right now.

As to the Rev. Wright... what I find so terribly sad is the loss of some blacks of the leadership of King....   King's vision esspoused no supremacy of either race... rather an equal opportunity... which is very different than an advantaged minority...  Notice in King's words there is no "entitlement" no "Set aside" only hard work and no barriers...

I know many will find my remarks racist... but they are the opposite... they are color blind.  I am now advising a non-white student wrt to obtaining admission into an advanced degree program.... her grades are mediocre... she thinks that she is having a hard time gaining admission because of her race... and yet with modest grades she is applying to schools that have the pick of the litter.... Racist?  are these schools being racist?  I really do not feel that... however, there are many schools that would love to have her... but they are B or C list schools... and I am encourging her to apply there...

So often in the world the cry is for people to be fair... when what they actually mean is preferential...

I have the feeling that Obama (and McCain) share the belief that they are each owed the title of president... McCain because of the service and Obama because of being an intelligent black man...

Clinton - well- her motives are more human... she wants it because she wants the power... she is not posturing through some entitlement belief.

have twisted a noble statement like "All men are created equal" into "You owe us"

I disagree with however on the Hildabeast, she has more of a sense of entitlement to the throne than the other two combined.

I am sure that Clinto wants to fuck up the entire world at least as much as the other two, but I do believe she is more interested in socializing this country first. If she had the power, which thankfully the POTUS does not, she would financially cripple this country to the extent that we wouldn't have to worry about policing the world.

I've seen your breasts. I've played with your breats. I've suckled on your breasts. They are indeed nice and soft and natural and full and a dream to play with.

But then again, my breasts are nice, soft, natural and unfortunately too full. I've played with my breasts, I've s. . . oh wait, nevermind. . . Your's are much nicer.

I'm not sure when I'll be returning to KC next, but I've got you wondering now, don't I?
